I have a RDWC system that I absolutely love but I have been on the fence about switching my other (soil and coco) tents to regular DWC. This is the PERFECT kit to get that started. Everything lined up and fit exactly as it should and was easy to put together. The buckets were relatively clean considering how dirty the last set I purchased was (from a different seller). I really like this set and it is great, if you get extra air pumps you can also have these in multiple tents/locations. A few tips for people new to this (in relation to this product): Do make sure to quadruple wash your clay pebbles (this goes for any pebbles that you purchase in general). It will leave a residue on the inside and bottom of the buckets that is a pain to clean out, especially if you have plants in them. Buy a backup air pump, this one does get the job done on the lower end of the scale but I prefer ones that have a battery backup. If you are using it for all 8 buckets I suggest you get an air pump that is a bit stronger. The rechargeable battery backup pumps are less than $100 and worth every dime to have that piece of mind. The pump and air stones bringing air to the plants are essentially like life support. If the power goes out it can quickly become a big issue, I like to always be prepared with extras as luck favors the prepared. While these look great and seem to block the light well - they also heat up from the black color absorbing the light. I suggest wrapping it with Bubble Reflective Foil Insulation to keep the reservoirs insulated (or you can paint them white). This helps tremendously with water temps and also helps reflect light around the bottom of your plants. The black hosing is wonderful too, if you ever need to replace it make sure you don't use clear hoses to save a buck - you will get algae buildup. If you do not need all 8 buckets - buy it anyways, seriously lol! Keep some of the buckets ready for reservoir water changes. You can have the nutrient water ready and just easily lift the lid and net cup out of one bucket and place it into another. I only needed a 4 pack but this is priced so well, it wasn't much extra from the 4 packs that offered the same items that this one did. It really is perfect to have extras on hand for the water changes. The value of this makes it an amazing buy.
