  • Great adjustable rake
Item Shape: 61"
This is honestly a pretty awesome rake, despite being on the inexpensive side. It’s much sturdier than it looks and is really good at grabbing everything I drag it over. It has an adjustable head that allows you to switch between narrow rake (ideal for tight places like in garden beds) and wide rake (better for large areas and leaves) so you can use it for pretty much whatever you need. I even used it to scratch back a bunch of old wood chip mulch and it worked great. ... show more

  • A sturdy rake with adjustable sizing options
Item Shape: 75"
The good: The BsBsBest 75" Rake for Leaves with 18 Expandable Metal Tines (the head can expand from approximately 10"-18") is easy to assemble (you just screw together the several pole pieces, and then screw on the rake head); adjustable in length (if you find the 75" size is too long, simply remove one or two of the middle pieces of the pole, then screw the top of the pole back on to the remaining pieces); and adjustable in width (making the rake head more narrow lets you rake in-between narrow spaces and pick up finer little leaves; while the wider head allows for quicker raking of bigger areas and bigger leaves). And the design that uses primarily metal for most of the elements seems very strong and durable overall. The mediocre: The pole isn't particularly ergonomic. I won't ding the product's rating for that aspect of things since that's a very standard design for basic rakes -- it's just a pole, there's not much too it. But I've owned fancier rakes that have more of a rubberized surface on the pole or actual grips that you can adjust the height of and then get a better hold of the rake and be able to apply more pressure as you rake, etc... So it would've been nice if this rake had some sort of grip system or handle on it instead of just being, well, a metal pole. Oh well. Also, although adjusting the rake head isn't difficult for the medium sizes of, say, around 12" to 16" -- it takes bit more force to pull the adjuster all the way up or down to get the rake to its narrowest or widest settings; and it takes some effort to adjust it again if you've pushed it to one of these maxed sizes. And even at it's widest -- it's probably barely 18", which isn't really a lot of width for a leaf-rake. And the metal tines themselves are a little bit thin and wobbly -- if anything on this rake ever gets messed up, I'd bet on the tines being the weakest point -- I wouldn't be surprised if some of them end up getting pretty bent up under regular usage. So, I don't think this is the ultimate rake to rule them all -- I plan on keeping a couple of other different style rakes around in my garage as well. But the strong and long metal pole and overall adjustability of this rake (which should make it good for reach long and narrow spots, low gutters, under porch stairs, etc.) will hopefully still make it a convenient addition to any set of yard tools. ... show more

  • excellent rake for medium/light duty
Item Shape: 61"
I have had other rakes with similar design that were Horrible with a cheap, weak handle that broke at first use too hard. This is NOT that rake. All-metal construction in the handle means it is solid and strong. The rake head itself is smallish. So its not suitable for very large yards, but in gardens and small yards, its PERFECT. The only plastic is in the clip mechanism that adjusts the rake width. But it appears to be holding up and is durable enough for its purpose. In total, I have no complaints about this rake. It performs well. Two thumbs up!! ... show more

  • Great rake. Handle is in segments so you can adjust the length to suit your height
Item Shape: 75"
The media could not be loaded. This is a sturdier rake than others I've had of this type. I used only the handle segments needed to get the length I wanted. Rake works well. The adjustable width of the rake is very convenient. If you've never used an adjustable rake, you'll like the additional versatility it provides. I think the metal will rust so the tool should be maintained and kept clean in my opinion. ... show more

  • Collapsible rake makes easy storage but narrow spread
Item Shape: 61"
Of course if I'm getting a rake, I'm raking leaves. This rake can be disassembled and the tines can be collapsed for easier storage. The rake was very easy to assemble and the rake can be made wide or narrow. The pole is made of metal that screws together and extends depending on how many sections are assembled. This metal seems more sturdy than wooden poles. All the tines are also metal. After spreading out the tines, I tried raking some leaves and also using it to help collect leaves from the ground to the bin. It works pretty good for raking, but I wish it were wider when spread out. Also leaves easily gets punctured and sticks onto the tines, so I have to pull them off. The price is in line with what I expect for a collapsible rake, but I would get the longer one in case you need it, and then just leave off a segment if you don't need to use the full length. ... show more

  • My new favorite garden tool!
Item Shape: 75"
I love everything about this garden rake! Number one is that you can add or remove sections of the handle to make it longer or shorter depending on your height or preference; although, personally, I keep it at its full length of 6 feet. I'm 5' 10", and at that length I no longer need to bend over while raking. My ancient vertebrae thanks me for that. Second, it's like having 2 rakes in one. At it's full width it's the perfect size for raking leaves or any large area. But by sliding the collar down it is transformed into a narrow rake perfect for getting into planted beds to rake in narrow spaces. Plus the long handle allows you to do that from the edge of the grass or path without having to walk into your planting area. Finally, the tines are just the right degree of stiffness to do a great job of raking; and the tines are flat on the ends to gather leaves and debris. ... show more

  • The best!!!
Item Shape: 75"
This is the best rake ever!! The fact that you can make the "head" of this wider or shorter is great!! The pole can also be made super long or shorter as it comes in 3 parts. Super easy to put together and the material seems great!

  • Handle is exceptionally long
Item Shape: 75"
The media could not be loaded. Not a huge fan of this rake. It assembles easy but I can tell that the handle will loosen as you use it. I tend to rake with a twisting motion and it will make the handle come apart. Also, the lock on the adjustable tines is not overly strong. This is an interesting rake and a unique way to ship it, but I think that it isn’t going to hold up for the long-haul ... show more
