These are very well made, very stout engine lift brackets. Very thick powdercoat, heavy duty build. Welds are nice. They'll work nicely for this and other uses. Honestly, I'm not yet ready to pull my 460 big block (but getting ready to.) So, I used them to simplify my hoist load leveler, and they worked the business there too. Good quality product. I used to use seat-belts as lifting straps bolted right to an engine. These lift brackets bolt right up to most car engines. Once secured the generous sized chain links allowed for quick connection of a lifting strap, or chain, between the brackets. The engine hoist does the rest. Ordered these for lifting/supporting the engine. They were not packed individually of each other but seemed to suffer no ill wear on the paint in the shipping. Angled tags give a good attachment point and a chain link to connect to. Would work great for an engine pull but my application is an engine lift to remove the crossmember and engine/transmission mount under the vehicle. I like they come in bright colors to find them easily in the toolbox drawer. They are heavier built than I anticipated. ... show more

I am getting ready to pull my 1979 International 345 V8 cast iron engine and these lifting brackets will be perfect. In the past, I used pieces of chain and bolts to pull engines, but these brackets will make the connection faster and safer.
