Not sure how else to put them, but they are pretty cute. Each is hand painted in pairs; each one being slightly unique. The sound is well, rice in a wood-ish egg. These are going into birthday goodie bags, so thankfully the racket from them will be elsewhere. I’m happy with the quality, the craftsmanship, and the alright sound. These are really cute, basic little egg shakers. They're about the size of a regular-to-smallish chicken egg. The paint is nice and bright, and they make noise when you shake them. They seem to be reasonably well-made. If you need a pile of little shakers for some reason, this will do the trick. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the paint started to wear with a lot of use, but that's what happens when you use things. If I had to get really picky, I'd say they sound a bit metallic for my taste. I would prefer a bit more... I don't know... Natural sound? Organic sound? Woody sound? But, it's not like I'm taking these to Sound City to record with Paul McCartney. Also, not to get all nanny with you, but egg shakers are JUST small enough for some kids to put in their mouth far enough to be dangerous. If you're working with kids likely to do something like that, you might want to look for a size/shape that makes it impossible. ... show more
