Description

One Gear no Fear, that’s what you tell all your friends when they ask you how many gears your bike has. Our 6KU Fixie is all about the simplicity. How many gears does it have? One. You know what that means? You spend more time riding your fixed gear, then fixing your ride. It’s steel frame and fork take those rough roads, and smooths them out like a cadillac coupe deville. You can set your fixie up as a single speed, or flip that rear wheel, and show off your whip skid skills. Whichever way you ride your fixie, you’ll be enjoying every minute of it.

  • Cheapest great bike I have ever owned
Color: Polar Size: XL/58cm Style: Bicycle
Shipping did not take long. The axles did bust through the sides of the box but nothing was damaged. Otherwise packed very well. Was very straight forward and easy to assemble. The safety stickers on it for the pedals and which way to put the fork also removed easily and did not leave a residue which was appreciated. All the other bikes I owned leave a goo behind. The wheels spun straight and tru which I was surprised by since any other bike I bought under $700 the wheels needed truing out of the box. The stock handlebars were very cheap and narrow with cheap weird grips. The bars taper to 22.2mm which is narrow than common replacement grips. I intended to replace these anyways which I did with with 440mm drop bars and a stem with a 31.8mm clamp. The other issue with the stock bar diameter is the stock brake lever clamps are too narrow for more common handlebar replacements. I only wanted to keep the front brake as an emergency brake so I just took the brakes off for now and ordered a new front brake lever/caliper from State Bicycle Co. The tires are cheap Kenda commuter tires. They are probably fairly durable but I immediately replaced those as well with some fairly light faster rolling Specialized Roubaix Pro 25/28s I got on clearance. The only other issue which isn't a big deal is the seat post is narrower than the common standard of 27.2. The stock post is pretty light and should last so it's all good for now. This bike is on the heavy side with most of the weight in the frames, the individual parts are fairly light aluminum, only way to make this lightly would be to replace the fork which wouldn't be worth it. Crankset/ bottom bracket replacement can also probably shave some weight too but I'm going to wait to see how the stock one holds up. Need to see how it performs long term, overall based on one ride and assembly is solid bike that is aesthetically pleasing that will make a great town and rail trail bike. ... show more

  • Very good value
The bike was received in good condition. Assembly is easy if you've done basic work with home tools before. It did not take very long. One part (a brake pad) was found loose in the box. But it was easy to get it put on the bike. All the cables were routed for us, which was very nice to see. The back wheel hub is a flip-flop type hub, and we opted to use the free-wheel side. It's a bit strange to use two screws on either side of the rear fork to adjust the chain tension and distance to the back wheel. This part could be easier but it wasn't too bad overall. The bike rides very well. For the price we paid it was a good deal. ... show more

  • This is everything you need, believe me.
Color: Slate Size: M/52cm Style: Bicycle
I'm using this for uber eats and doordash I ride all day every day on this bike The entire cycling community says to NEVER trust these bikes, but they're all wrong. They didn't even try these low end bikes. This is a single speed, it's extremely light. When you're riding this stick to a flat surface as much as you can. I am without a doubt one of the fastest cyclist in my city, I deliver full time and none of the other road cyclists seem to be able to keep up with me I live in atlanta georgia, there is no flat here it's mostly uphill and downhill, and very steep grades Buy pedal straps or clipless pedals, I use straps. Replace the innertube on the bike asap, especially the rear tube. The stock tube on this bike are terrible and give in to pinch flats very easily. The brake cables are also not so great, but I still use them just fine Other than that I am fast and this bike does what I want it to do For reference I'm riding this bike hard, all day every day putting a lot of stress on this bike, I bomb hills, do jumps whenever I can, I climb hard and fast, this bike seems bulletproof Eventually when my chain stretches out I'm going to upgrade to a nice high quality chain, get the highest quality parts you can as you change things out on this bike All that mattered to me was the frame size, make sure you get the right size. When you're putting the bike together MAKE SURE you tighten the handlebars and rear wheel very tight, don't have the handlebars fold on you while riding. Assembly took me like. 10 minutes. If you're new maybe 30 minutes. To recap, buy pedal straps and weave them into the pedals, single speed is better FYI, Sure fixed gear teaches you cadence, but 99% of people will learn cadence anyways If you're buying this for tricks, I would recommend this bike, fixie tricks are very fun, I like riding fixie, but I ride single gear, as a delivery cyclist I need comfort while I'm working full time, With single speed I can ride faster without worrying about crashing or making mistakes. Also since my area is mostly really steep hills, if my chain busts and I'm going fast downhill I could get seriously injured. Keep your brakes on, people will try to tell you "brakeless changes the way you ride" this isn't true, they are just still young cyclists who are feeling something new for the first time, Most of the older fixie guys get sick of riding brakeless and generally agree that brakes are an advantage without any cons. It's only young guys who like tricks who will tell you to ride brakeless. *brakeless doesn't make you any better, it just gives you more adrenaline* Aside from that, the other guys can't tell the cost of my bike, and it doesn't matter, The stickers and logos are all removable, it's a China product so there's probably several companies selling this exact same bike and just putting their logo on it, It doesn't make the quality any worse, and I like that there are no labels on my bike.
