  • Great educational toy
I got this for my granddaughter. She is in preschool, and they were making robots there. Her Mom got her a similar kit but with some different robots. It turns out it is not a kit for preschool, or I would say kids under 8 years old without adult help. Reason being the screws are tiny and hard to get started even for me unless you have a magnetic screwdriver to hold the screws. Another reason is the wires could be wrapped together or around the motors, but it is best to solder them to the battery packs. I do know how to solder and have tools to do what needs to be done. So, someone starting out without the knowledge of soldering, or the tools would not like this kit. It is a very nice kit with a lot of interesting projects. ... show more

  • Daughter school project
I found it easy but tedious to put together. My daughter which is 11 simply just didn’t pay attention to details while she was putting it together (she has ADHD)

  • So Fun! May need an extra set of hands for some aspects.
I bought this for my 10-year-old son. We both really enjoyed the little inventions you can assemble. The only downside see is that the pieces are quite small and some things are ticky to assemble with just two hands, so an extra set of hands is helpful!

  • My Girl loved it.
My 11 yo girls love to "build" small things, fidget spinners, toys, whatever. She asked me to build a "robot". I am no engineer and I did not want to buy her one of those 90 dollar robots which teach her nothing but how to use Bluetooth. I needed spares and some creativity. I came across this and I think it was perfect, it has a few examples of how to build different functionalities, the pieces are designed in a way that you can adjust them to your liking and build other things and they come with the tools you need to build them So far she built 5 and even though she does need some guidance to build (and what's the point if you don't have someone that she can learn what she is actually doing) , she pretty much is doing it everything by herself and already thinking how to build other things. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Cool little projects!
Bought this for my 3rd grade students. They definitely need an adult to help them understand the instructions and how to assemble some of the tiny pieces, but I'd rather it be more challenging as opposed to being too easy for them. I do tons of STEM in my class and this was a great activity addition! The final products are really cool :). Also, definitely worth the price! Very fair I'd say. ... show more

  • Very fun.
My son is 9 and loves all things science. We had a ball putting these contraptions together. I will say, the screws are so small, they are easy to handle for little fingers, yet sometimes the screws were just a little bit too tough for him to do without help. All in all, he was able to do almost all of the work himself, just needed a bit of help now and then, but he thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend this kit. ** When I left the review, we hadn't built the plotter yet. As it turns out, that one was impossible for my son to do. I had to do almost all of it, and parts of it were very difficult for me. It was still really fun, all in all. ... show more

  • Difficult to assemble. Adult assistance needed tools not included
This item is a great project for parents to do with their kids or for their kids. Items are extremely difficult to assemble and the tools needed are not adequately included. We needed to find multiple tools to complete the projects. Additionally this is even a bit trying for an adult and my kids even my 14 year old lost interest quickly due to the difficulty level. The concept is great and the games were fun once put together but I highly suggest not purchasing as a project for your child to do. Item quality is great for the price and the projects we completed acceptable but I would not purchase again and honestly we didn’t even finish all the projects because of the frustration and struggle while completing the few we did do. ... show more

  • Very frustrating to assemble
I bought this for my science class of fourth graders, and it was incredibly frustrating for them to assemble. The directions are very hard to follow, even for an adult.
