These are perfect for getting those tangled hairs around your dog's face. The metal tines are great at getting through tear-stained fur or the bits of dinner on the muzzle. Be careful, though. Two of the brushes had metal tines that were needle-sharp. We used a metal file to blunt the tips. Upon 1st use the brush comb fell off the stick! Very inconvenient trying to use with just my fingers! This has happened in over half of the brushes!

I love these brushes. My new puppy always has eye gunk every few hours and I try and clean it while it’s still fresh otherwise it dried and cakes on there. She will only let me close enough to clean with these brushes if she’s tired, though. Otherwise she freaks out when I come near her eyes with the brush. But these brushes make it much faster to get in and out to clean her eyes without too much fuss. I use these to remove my Shorkies eye goobers and it works great. I had tried other small combs and brushes, liquid tear stain removers, scissors (yikes) and none of those worked. When I can get my dog to hold still just long enough, this metal comb will grab and pull the goober out with no pain expressed from my doggie. He is blonde in color and the goobers looked awful as well as they can get really big and hard (not good for doggie) if not removed every week. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more
