A couple of the eggs don't really make much noise at all and they're not even worth trying to shake but the rest of them have a nice feel and quality

    • Well Made but Keep an Eye on your Toddler With Them
These are really well made, cute shakers. But the size is perfect for fitting in a baby/toddler's mouth, so just be sure to keep an eye on them while they're playing with these.

I bought these egg shakers to give to my 9 month old, who loves to shake and rattle and bang everything he can. I was most concerned that they be sturdy and safe for him to play with, though sound and aesthetics mattered, too. Luckily, these egg shakers deliver on all fronts. They are lovely, pleasant to hold, and make a great sound. They seem absolutely sturdy as well (I’ll update this review if that changes). These music eggs look and feel very nice, but know the sound is muted. They are not as loud as the plastic shakers, so it just depends on what sound you’re looking for.

Super fun tiny instrument! I tucked them in my little bag to bring to a small family gathering. When the holiday carols started, I passed out the eggs (recipients aged late teens to early 80s) & we all played along! Everyone was excited by the ease of their being part of the band, so to speak. My 16-month old son is obsessed with trying to grab eggs out of the refrigerator so I decided to buy him these wood egg shakers and he loves them! He’s been playing with them for hours - he’s been shaking them, throwing them, biting them, placing them in an extra egg carton we had saved and just walking around with them.
