I hate that I can’t see in my 12’ pool after dark. I’m not worried about snakes but I’d like to be able to see. Ordered these, 6-piece, and put one on every other corner of the pool rail. 12 rails, so it evenly lights up the pool. They’re solar so I don’t have to worry about messing with them. Just remember to switch them on before fully assembling them. The only drawback is after tightening them to the rail, they have the extra length sticking out like a tag. I don’t want to cut them because I plan on upgrading our pool in a year or two, and I’m not sure if that will mean a smaller or larger attachment diameter. Either way it’s nit the worst. You could easily attach these to any kind of railing, potentially fence posts if you needed, objects. Anything you could zip tie these will attach to. They’re really a beautiful upgrade to the pool. ... show more

I am thrilled to find these lights. They come with a band that is flexible. It wraps around the above ground pool rim similar to a watch band. When the light no longer works, another same sized solar light can be used. The bands seem very well made and durable. Our rim poles are oval and the ones that clip on are round, so this is the first solar light holder that will actually work on our pool. The little solar light themselves are pretty basic. There is an on/off switch under the lid. The color is a warm white light, not a bright white. They charge great and seem to last a long time, through the night. It give off a lot of light and I don't have to worry about trying to plug it and its zero risk of electrical shock. we travel a lot and we don't have to worry about electricity on the light..Relatively easy install.     • Smaller than expected for use case
Pros: Light starts out dimmer than expected, but was still on and actually seemed brighter in the morning. Included mounting band seems durable, but does not have much give, so you wouldn't be able to stretch to fit much. Of course, less stretch may make it less prone to ripping. Cons: These are smaller than the listing. I'm not sure it would actually help illuminate our pool unless it was pitch black...1am with no moon. The band is the biggest at just over 9". The light itself is 2 1/8" across the solar top and only 3 1/4" tall above the band. I'll probably repurpose these for sidewalk illumination, but definitely not useful for around our pool. ... show more
