So, to be clear, you will have to assemble EVERYTHING for this dresser, every. single. little. piece. And doing so is a huge pain in the ass. That being said, the dresser looks great put together and I am very happy with it. Fully assembled it’s not particularly heavy, which makes moving it much nicer.     • Good Looking Furniture, Drawers Could Be Deeper
There is enough room for drawers to be 2 1/2" deeper. This would add up to extra 1 drawer space. It is not that easy to open/close drawers. It would be easier if drawers had metal slides, especially that drawer handles are very thin! Few tips: - set aside 12 hours for assembly. (dresser + 6 drawers). Let glue dry overnight. - get a bottle of glue - supplied glue comes in tiny package. - follow instructions very carefully - be gentle with power tools. Wood is very soft and it is easy for screws to penetrate outside surface. ... show more

    • Assembly takes all day, but worth it
Well… my husband and I are pretty handy and we spent over 6 hours putting this together. Now, to be fair, we did an “optional” step and put wax on the rails and drawer slides to help it work better, which was suggested in the manual, but it was still definitely a 2-person, multi-hour project. The manual was great, easy to follow. You may need to buy extra wood glue if you really want it to be secure as there is a “ketchup packet-sized” glue included and a thousand dowels. Save Step 7 for the end, as others have suggested. The quality is really much better than we expected for the price. It is all solid wood - no pressed wood. The finish is a little matte, but hopefully some wood oil will help with that. Overall- very satisfied ☺️ ... show more

    • Kind of a pain but worth it
Overall I LOVE the finished product, it’s a beautiful dresser and a great size. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing it and was expecting the build to take awhile, but I love putting furniture together so I wasn’t too worried about that. The instructions were actually pretty clear, what I didn’t expect is that none of the screw holes were predrilled. There were holes for the dowels, but all of the screws needed to be manually screwed into the wood and the instructions recommended not using a drill so as to not damage the wood. That made the process a LOT longer. Some of the screws went in pretty easily, but most of them took a lot of work to secure and it was not easy trying to hold all of the pieces exactly lined up while screwing into them. On top of that, the top piece of my dresser arrived with a split in it. Thankfully their customer service was great and actually sent me a whole new set for free. I’d say if you go into this with time and patience it really was worth the work and looks great, the quality of the wood is pretty good too. ... show more

Very nice looking, but could be a bit sturdier. It took me a bit to put it together as there are many pieces. But I did it by myself. I think it took about 2 hours. Be careful taking it out of the box. Do not bend the box! I accidentally broke a trim piece from the front of the dresser. It is not weight bearing, so I glued it together and it is hardly noticeable. Would recommend. ... show more

It's a sturdy dresser. The wood is a little soft so could get some dings, potentially. It's all solid wood except for the bottom of the drawers and the back panel. It took several hours to put together but looks great and true to the color pictured. It is mostly out together with dowels so I would recommend getting a bottle of wood glue to ensure stability. I love the style, I am into MCM furnitures so I ordered a lot of this style here on amazon. This dresser was a pain in my hands to put together trying to screw in every single bolts and nuts! My hands are still aching even after a week of having this dresser. Another thing is the back panel is so flimpsy made of a very thin, cheap material. Today as I was trying to open one drawer the handle part broke! It cracked!!! Very thin material. I followed every step even the applying wax to the glider to slide open and close easily. I think it is not worth the money. I wanna get a refund on this if I can. Totally wasted my time and money. Update: I contacted the seller and told them about my encounter and they politely asked if I can take photos of the damage and send to them. They responded quickly and asked what is more convenient for me, a replacement or a refund. I went for the refund because I dont wanna go through building another one of this. My updated rating is for the seller and how they handled the situation quickly. I will still stand with my first review that you will need to be patient with assembling this item.     • Solid Piece… Wrong Color
This is a pretty solid piece, the one problem that I have is the color is no where near the same as the color represented in the photos. It is a bit darker and the color has a much richer saturation than displayed in the listing giving it an almost orange hue. I understand that photos cannot perfectly represent a piece but better effort should have been put in to ensure accurate photos of the piece were taken. ... show more
