  • multi voltages with just a push of a button
I like it small and compact, light weight. I like the ability to select from 8 voltages including 8v for old farm tractors. I like the display indicating from 25% to 100% charging. I like the ability to select constant, maintaining, float and several other charges. I have used it to charge several batteries of different voltages and it worked fine. And the price is right. ... show more

  • If charging a 16v it does take about 4 hours to fully charge
If using this for any kind of racing use it will take a while to charge. From 1/2-3/4 battery life to full on a 16v turbo start battery took 4-5 hours to full charge

  • Wow. Saved my golf cart.
48V golf cart was completely dead from sitting uncharged for 5 months. Couldn't use a 12v charger because of the smart technology wouldn't recognize it as it was so low. I bought this for the 8V capabilities but used it across 3 at a time using the 24V feature. If you're batteries are so low nothing will charge them here are some tips to use this charger. Tips: plug in the charger, set it to fast charge, select your voltage. Then attach your clips, positive first then negative. I have 6 8V batteries. I did 3 then the other 3. The other 3 didn't register so I used the 3,4,5 batteries and the 24V setting. It kicked on. Blinked all lights in the battery symbol. The village will climb. When both sides got to 20 I plugged in the factory cart charger and Bam it recognized the batteries and started charging the carts like it should! It doesn't look like much, doesn't look beefy but it saved my a boatload of trouble. ... show more

  • Failure by static discharge. Non polarized AC plug, & improper circuit isolation suspected
I really liked this lead acid battery charger. it is small and compact, and the LCD panel is black lettering with bright blue backlighting. The alligator clips were large enough for car batteries and small enough to still connect easily to the much smaller 7Amp hr. sealed lead acid batteries. It had intelligent charging and float charging characteristics that were ideal for sealed lead acid UPS battery packs. However; I live in the high mountain deserts of Wyoming, so the high altitude plus t low humidity levels make for lots of static electric discharges. Especially in cold or winter weather. These tiny EMP events are just daily life for me. So grounding , and proper circuit design is important. This charger has a non polarized plug. That means either side of the input circuitry of this charger can be at the 120VAC potential coming from the wall. And this charger does not weigh enough to have an isolation power transformer, so it must be using other methods to insure that the metal case does not become hot wrt (with respect to) ground. I suspect that the non polarized AC power cord plus some unknown circuit design flaw, contributed to the charger failure which occurred when I tried to turn the unit off. It was working properly and had been for over a week. Right up until I touched the power switch on the back of the unit. This time, as soon as I touched the rocker switch, I felt a static shock, --and at the same instant I saw the LCD blink once and then it just went kind of nuts. Apparently the static discharge, had entered the primary AC power switch, and somehow jumped clear over into the low power, and logic side of the charger circuitry. Proper design usually prevents stuff like this, and so I believe This either killed the microcontroller outright, and/or corrupted the microcontroller's memory for the logic functions of the charger. Scratch one $40 charger. I sent it back DOA. I know everything is made in China these days, but do they have to make everything so cheaply that it doesn't have things like MOV's and Line input filtering? China please get a clue! Quality is important. This seems to happen a lot with stuff made in China. It kind of reminds me of how everyone used to make fun of the stuff that came from Japan in the 50's and 60's. But Japan wised up fast, and now makes some of the best electronic equipment on the planet. China I know you can do better than this. And I am willing to pay more for better quality. Update: 2023 May 8. I still have not received a refund for this item which was returned in mid April. Update 2023 May 13 retracted last line. Still waiting for refund. Or emaiil from seller. or something. ... show more

  • Cheap but very effective not sure how it will hold up
My 16v battery could only power my LED gauge lights. Put this little thing on with little hope of it working. In 4 hours it had enough charge to spin a 700hp super latemodel engine with ease
