Actual rubber on the tread, same molding otherwise. With a 14mm socket and my 3/8 impact in low torque setting I replaced the front wheels in about 2-minutes flat. Piece of cake. Wife is happy to use the power assist. I'm happy these replacements were more affordable than the OEM replacements and have actual rubber tread. So far, they work great! But keep in mind with rubberized tread, when you use the power assist, it will get a little better traction and might pull some grass up. Doesn't bother me whatsoever, I'm extremely content with this purchase and highly recommend to anyone needing to replace their front drive wheels due to stripped inner gear teeth. The ONLY thing that would make these better is if the internal wheel teeth were metal...but due to the mower design that might cause some binding or damage in the drivetrain parts that are more costly to replace. ... show more
