I use this anchor for my paddleboard and rafts at Lake Erie. What a great idea well-made and works perfect for what I use it for. I used to use an old milk jug and had to lug it up and down to my cottage. Now I jjust dump the sand out, And it weighs very little and easy to transport.

These are great for carrying in a portable bag so you don’t have to lug the weight of an anchor around. They could hold a huge amount of weight if you needed too, but the rope is a little thin and I think it may not stand up to filling the bag too full. The bags do have instructions on the outside which is nice and the little buoys are a nice addition though to make it feel more legitimate. Overall. It nicely meets a need and is decently made, if it had a little thinker rope and attachment points that were metal instead of plastic it would be a 5 star product. ... show more

Used this to anchor a double innertube on the lake so we wouldn't float off too far. Worked really well. Only had to fill it about half way. We were pretty rough on it, and there were no issues with the rope or hardware on the bag. Comes with everything you need.

These are really nice dry bags that can also be used as sand anchor bags OR maybe they are sand anchor bags that can be used as dry bags. IDK - they work as both really. I got them for our SUP boards to use as anchor bags when we flotilla up with our friends kayaks & SUPs. When they arrived I was happily surprised to see that they were really just standard roll top dry bags with long anchor ropes and clip attachments. It is a 20L waterproof bag that holds all I need for a day on the water - towel, clothes, 40oz water bottle, sunscreen & snacks. Once we get to our beach I empty out the bag and fill it with sand & water and sink it down. The anchor rope is sturdy and it has a sturdy float and clip to attach to my board. It holds really well even in windy conditions. I love that it is dual use for us - I don't have to carry or store a heavy traditional anchor or a big stake style land anchor but can still keep my boards secure. It works as a land anchor too - I filled it with sand and water then set it in a little shallow hole I dug - held great. ... show more

My first thought was, 'hey, this is a dry bag' so it could be used for that as well. Regardless, easy fill and easy close bag. These were a lot bigger than I expected and that's a bonus. The bag is strong and heavy when filled. Waterproof also. If you want your bag to be heavier, be sure and use damp sand as dry sand doesn't weigh near as much. Obviously, the more wet your sand is, the heavier your bag will be. And it's so nice to be able to dump and reuse as needed with a quick rinse. Such a smart move. ... show more
