With multiple screw points and a reinforced truss design, the finished structure has a durable, superior-strength construction. No miters or complex measurements are needed; the galvanized angle brackets create a flawless angle every time. This building requires only straight, 90-degree cuts. Add compost or wood 2x4s and your roofing and siding for a personally designed outdoor shed, garage, or barn. If you need more space, you can add additional kits to expand the size of your frame. 1 kit makes a 7x8 foot frame, 2 kits for an 8x10, and 3 kits for a 10x22. This has to be one of the easiest sheds I've ever built. The only thing that I would note is that this does require two people well the one person can do it it's very hard. Also there were no instructions for the front door/doors on this. I was able to build mine not a problem because I have experience with this but for someone doing this the final part is not easy if they've never built a door before or squared one. Put this up as a chicken coop and it's going to work great hopefully for many years. ... show more

Got two if these kits for our chicken coop build. The brackets are a bit on the flimsy side, but overall very happy how it turned out. Make sure you get the straightest wood your HD/Lowes carries, as we went for a custom 8x16 chicken coop. It was a big PITA getting those 2x16 on the sides and the top (just me and my SO). Be ready for a bit of a fight, but overall this has helped us tremendously. ... show more

    • Fairly Good kit for a beginner, but expensive to build and instructions not always clear

I am a 78 year old construction novice, and this kit has been loads of fun. I was amazed that the cost of lumber made the actual build so expensive. I took the parts list to my local building supply and dropped $1147, not including tools, mostly due to the high cost of plywood. And I have not yet purchased roofing materials. I probably should have requested a lower grade of plywood, but I (my wife) wanted a pretty exterior. One area where I would have liked some improvement was in the instructions, which I found thorough but a little bit hard to follow. (maybe I did not build enough models as a kid). I did modify the plans somewhat to make the shed lower and less deep.. (my wife preferred it be less visible) This prove fairly easy to do. I am very glad I bought this kit and did not just throw together a shed from salvage wood. ... show more

My web research determined this Amazon offering by Spreetail is likely the sole source of METAL framing kits today, and it's most certainly at a favorable price point - BUY NOW before they run out of stock. Seller Spreetail dramatically-exceeded expectations around customer relationship management and order fuilfillment. Toward the kit, I am extremely-impressed and happy with its modularity, flexibility, and scalability, and the instruction set included in the kit is easy to use. Toward Spreetail, I am extremely-impressed with their focus on getting things right, and attention to detail on the back end of my transaction. Please be advised that enabled by this kit, your project will not go together like TinkerToys or Lincoln Logs (e.g. if you've never built anything before, you will be learning a lot as you go, and thus should set your project duration expectations accordingly). However, for those more experienced builders seeking time savings, reduced complexity, and risk management (from not having to layout angles and ensure you cut them correctly...), this is THE superior product. (I cannot imagine why anyone would consider using the competing plastic fittings for this...) ... show more

This kit is JUNK. Not packaged well and cheap, stamped metal. Idk how so many people here give 4-5 star positive reviews. If you look at the real reviews at the big box stores these items rank poorly and I wish I would have read those reviews. I build this on an engineering table and as square as possible with the big box store nominal lumber and I all I did was fight and destroy my sanity. Not easy to use. Not sturdy and I really suggest you do not go buy all the lumber and materials, do not cut them to their specs. You’ll end up wasting hundreds of hard earned dollars on lumber to find out the brackets are bent, warped and nonconformity and the brackets and flimsy, weak and you can not just fit lumber together without tweaking, modification and struggle. This is not a 1 person job once you lose your energy and sanity fighting with this garbage. Go read the real reviews at the big box stores to see the truth. ... show more

I bought the framing pieces with the specific intent to modify it for my own needs. Rather than a storage shed, I built a "screen house" to house my hydroponic garden, raised bed garden and hanging berry pots. It required a bit of modification (no floor, setting on a stone draining base, no walls or roof which add strength and square things up) and instead covered with 1/2 sq galvanized screen material. I used a bit more ext. wood, sealed and painted all the rest while installing and used non-rust hardware throughout. I needed to install temporary cross-bracing while installing the screen material to keep everything square, then removed it after I was done. I am very pleased with the results. ... show more
