    • The gel foam part of the mattress is fine but I had an issue with the cover
My current gel foam mattress topper, which I had purchased at a big box store a few yrs ago, was beginning to break down and not giving my back the support I needed. So I ordered this as a replacement. The first night was odd to say the least. This topper slid around. I’ve never experienced this before with any other topper. But this one slid down and sideways. I had to get up in the middle of the night to reposition it. The next morning I decided to remove the cover on the topper. To my surprise, the gel foam part of this topper is exactly the same as the big box store! But the cover is different. In comparison, the top of this cover is quilted. The underneath is sort of slick - hence, the sliding. Overall, this cover is much heavier and bulkier than my old one. In fact, the quilting is so thick on this cover, that I think it actually may detract from the gel foam’s ability to conform to a sleeper’s body. Still needing a good solution to my aching back, I decided to switch covers. Oddly, this actually worked great. The cover which came with my old topper is soft, light weight, and very comfortable to sleep on and the new gel foam will probably hold up for another few years. I tossed the slick, heavy quilted cover along with my old broken down gel mattress. The cover which came with this is well made but just didn’t work for me. ... show more

Packaging of this was GREAT! But the overall comfortability level of the mattress not so great. I tried reaching out to Amazon about this product after I opened it as its build more like a pillow top for a mattress than it is an actual mattress for a platform bed. I was hoping to be able to return this product and purchase a thicker mattress from this seller but ideally Amazon wanted me to ship the product back & they were only going to provide a label. It came in an air compressed seal inside a small box. So, shipping this mattress back wasn't ideal because once opened it does become bigger than the box it came in and finding a box that would fit this mattress wasn't ideal or easy. Amazon insisted that I would hear back from the seller of this item through email, and I have not heard back from this seller. I checked back a few hours later after contacting Amazon and it looks like they are processing a refund of this item. ... show more

I know it said 5 inches, but for some reason I was not expecting it to come out almost like a topper for a mattress. This will not fit into a standard twin size frame (height specific). The length and width perfectly fit a twin frame, its just the height, but I kinda knew what I was getting as it says "5 inch." Price isn't bad at all compared to the average twin mattress prices, so I will recommend it on that alone, as it is not hard as a rock, and does offer a bit of cushion. It is pretty flimsy and can easily fold up as there doesn't feel like there are any springs internally. So make sure you have a box spring or maybe another smaller mattress underneath for some extra support. ... show more
