These batteries have been through lots of use in an RC boat. They have never failed or errored out when I recharge / balance charge them. They also have great run times, no less than the name brand batteries. Great batteries for the price.

I Just bought these batteries. I cannot give them a long-term review yet. I bought them for one of the First X-Maxx Trucks to hit the scene. I had all the shock and aw of the first days of this truck when it was fresh out (sat brand new for years due to life). I had a 50%-50% success with Traxxas batteries and I spent a ton of money to get started, before I had to store my X-Maxx. Wow! Like all of the good reviews say...These things RIP! I almost flipped backwards like how another reviewer claimed. This company did their homework! I was afraid that the original tires would explode after sitting for years. The truck performed better than NEW! I immediately purchased a second set. Torque increased, speed, and I am satisfied with not even using my speed gear to hit higher straight-line speeds! The batteries are smaller. I used the extra foam to make them more stable, but I think That they will stay in there without the extra support. They charge with Traxxas charging systems for the 8's 6700 battery, no money wasted to get another charger, but you must use the app to get'em going. I was excited and it brought back the old feeling of when I purchased the 8's when it first came out. I have a few old Traxxas batteries, and they have dead cells and one of them is still alive and I MIGHT!...... MIGHT! buy another just to compliment the old one and run them as backups for long run days. 90 bucks for 2 batteries verses up to 160 bucks for one Traxxas battery! Easy decision. No cutting, no modifying, no YouTube. Charge them and plug them in and then RRRRRRUN! Hopefully I will give a long-term review. ... show more

I’ve never heard of this business before, but I read the reviews and became curiously interested. I ultimately purchased a set of 6500mAh 4s Lipo batteries for my X-maxx 8s. My X-maxx is moderately modified. I’ve upgraded to a Hobbywing Max6 ESC, 20/50 gearing, 7.4v Powerhobby (soon to be Savox 2290sgs wp) servo and Duratrax Six Pack wheels/tires. With these batteries, I can do standing backflips (altho unintentionally at first), and they last over 45mins. I’ve yet to hit the Low Voltage Cutoff with these. I’m not a hard basher, but I definitely get on the throttle often and in bursts. No swelling in the 2 months I’ve had em. Now fast fwd 2 months, and I recently had an issue with one of the batteries. One of the cells wasn’t balancing (-.4volts), so I got in contact with the business via Amazon Cust Svc. Socokin reps were responsive and service oriented! I sent a photo of the failed cell (screenshot from charger), and without issue, they sent a replacement! When a business stands by their product so firmly, I’m inclined to refer their business to my friends! ... show more

I got these for my Arrma Granite that has been converted to 6s, and I needed a grab and go battery because 6s is just too much power but it is absolutely a pleasure to run these two 4s batteries as I rarely can deplete them both in a bashing session. Although these are my first 4S batteries, this is about my 10th lipo set that I've ever purchased and I must say that these batteries perform excellent when it comes to discharge rate and capacity holding. It even came back fine after one cell was below 3v due to an lvc error (that's on me), but it came back in line with the rest of the cells in minutes after putting it on the charger and is still ripping it up like the beast it is. I can fully recommend these batteries!!! Yes I did cut the connector off and solder on ec5 connectors but what's the difference really? ... show more

TRUE C RATE - 13.9c picture 1 - channel 1 (left) 4500mah socokin 50c. a reading of 2.5 mΩ Internal resistance. Picture 1 channel 2 (right) are these batteries are at storage voltage 3.8v per cell. picture 2 - shows the Socokin 6500mah at 5mΩ per cell. 2x what the cheap $45 socokin 4500mah batteries are in picture one left bank. so if we go to radiocontrolinfo dot com and find the "calculate real lipo c rating" we can see the real output of these batteries are about 90A @ 50% charge or 3.8v. That is terrible BTW. it should be under 2mΩ to be a decent battery. and well under that to be 100C battery. what does that mean in real life? a lipo at full charge is usually under 1mΩ and can output 200A for a small amount of time. as the charge lessens the internal resistance goes up and the amp output goes down. if you keep pulling high amps the batteries will overheat. Which is considered around 140f max. These batteries can push maybe 1600w max and you will seriously start overheating them. thats about 125A. and you should consider the runtime at that amp pull about 1 minute. If you pull less amps you can run a little longer. SO you're NOT saving money buying these cheap batteries. This really is a case of getting what you pay for. You're spending half the price and getting half the battery despite what the label claims these are. The $45 socokins 4500mah 50c are literally half the IR and thus the exact same amount of runtime and output. pretty funny. Just buy those and double them up if you need a lot of battery. or just buy small SMC packs with half the weight. Will be as good or better than these. EDIT: received a new set of these. new set is 5mm larger, has far less IR and is 53 grams heavier. They have an approximate runtime of 40% more. so now you never know if you are getting the "good" set or the bad set. ALSO the real weight of these are about 507 grams for the "bad" ones and 560g for the good ones. NOWHERE NEAR the 702g advertised. SMC's 6500 mah are 650g for comparison. the heavier a LIPO the better it is. ... show more
