  • My son loves this!
Style: Wind Turbine Science Kit
Easy to assemble, directions were clear. Good construction. My 6 year old was able to follow with my assistance the assembly. I will be purchasing another so we can have two. I ended up filling the 2 liter bottle with concrete to give more stability.

  • Works well but smaller scale
Style: Clean Water Science
The media could not be loaded. We have tested this product with both the suggested dirty water and water colored with food coloring and it worked on both cases. It should be noted however that the filtering materials are vert small quantities, so using a big amount of water dirt or colors will make it less efficient faster. I would suggest to do the test with small amounts, I think 50 ml is more the enough to demonstrate the principle. For the dyed water I ended up using only 20 ml. My daughter used it for her science project and it was very fun for her to do and she assemble it herself with my guidance to explain the instructions. She is first grade so I do not think it is very challenging bu fun and educating to observe. I added a video of the assembly and the final product and function. I would suggest to use a heavy glass container as a collector as they suggested because it was too flimsy when my daughter used a plastic cup and needed to add a support cup as seen in the end of the video. ... show more

  • be careful and slow
Style: Clean Water Science
good overall and great as a display that we used on a 'build your own filter' activity where students used cut soda bottles. However if you aren't careful the thin plastic sections easily overflow if the water is poured through quickly

  • Educational and fun for all ages!
Style: Weather Station Kit
So educational and fun for all ages! My daughter loved it and she is a teen but she loves science and it was something fun we can do together!

  • Science fair
Style: Clean Water Science
Son needed this to build upon his science fair project. It did its job so if you need a water purification system, then get it but was pretty boring and don’t think this is a fun experiment just as a regular kids activity. Skip it and find something more engaging.

  • Worked great for Earth Day
Style: Clean Water Science
Used it for an experiment on Earth Day at an Elementary School to show how BMPs work. Was perfect. Way better than what I was going to do which was to make my own.
