  • Works fine for me, very happy !!
The media could not be loaded. I have T-mobile sin card and It's really worked for me in the simplest way, plug and play. 🙏🙏🙏

  • Do not purchase unless you have full understanding that it is not just "plug and play."
I am going on long vacation overseas. Apparently, we will not have cell service. Purchased it so that I could make sure I had some type of portable wifi for my tablet so we could message via the internet. It made it sound like plug it into the computer and put in the password. I would be able to use it with any of my portable devices. First, I plugged it into my laptop to try to sign on to the device. I could not bring it up. The only message I received was "not internet." So, I thought I would try with my tablet. However, it is too large for the slot in either my table or phone. Went online to try to see if I can find some instruction, but there are too many to know which one to choose. So, it is a $50 paper weight. Lesson learned ... show more

  • It works, but menus are not intuitive at all.
I bought this as a backup to when I travel and would not have access to wifi. I wanted to have the ability to plug it into my Gl-inet travel router in case of an emergency. I bought an IoT SIM, popped it into the dongle and tried to connect my laptop to the internet. After a LOT of trying, it finally came up. Most of this was my fault, though. My antivirus has a secure keyboard input, and I blame that for not inputting the admin password correctly. I logged in through an iPhone, and was able to get in with no issues. The most annoying thing about this is the menus. They are absolutely not intuitive at all. They definitely need to redesign this. The instructions that come with it is confusing to say the least, and the pictures are so small that they won’t help at all. Other than that, it seemed to work pretty well. It picked my SIM up. I was able to change the SSID password and the admin password, so nobody will be able to log in with the default credentials. This is a very basic 150Mb device, so don’t expect much. It says 5G, but that’s out and out false. I’ve worked with these devices before, and it’s a basic 4G device that will deliver adequate speeds in an emergency. I was very pleased with it. It’s very small and light, so it can travel without taking up too much space. This is a third party device, so use it accordingly. Who knows if this device passes any information back. ... show more

  • Great little stick
This stick is unique in the fact that it has professional options without having to hack it, IMEI & TTL are pretty important for testing truly unlimited data plans. Would love to see more bands (41, 71 and 66 for example) but what it covers will get most connected just fine.

  • Unable to get Internet access to TMobile
First off, the instruction manual nearly useless because it is printed so small. The instructions listed on the Amazon listing gives more insight to physically install the SIM card than the included instruction. Also, the initial configuration login is printed directly on the USB modem. I was able to install the SIM card and I was able to get to the admin screen. It seems to also have detected the TMobile network. Most of the settings were automatically. In theory, I should have been able to get a hotspot easily given that another computer was able to recognize the 4g USB modem and connected fine. However, no matter what I did to tweak the configuration, I never succeeded in getting Internet access. On the main screen, I kept getting Limited or NO service despite the fact that TMobile settings were recognized with no intervention by me. I am disappointed to give this a 2-star review (for now) because another computer could connect to the hotspot but I could never get Internet access with this USB modem with TMobile. I am not sure where the error is. The device, TMobile, or me (user issue). I am happy to revise this review if I can get this working and discover it is user error vs. a device error. ... show more

  • Great in a pinch, don't expect stellar performance initially
Using this little USB cellular device in the US on an AT&T data only prepaid plan in the Boston, MA area. INCREASE SPEED (see setting pages above): - Change the DNS off of the default, I went with Cloudflare's privacy focused 1.1.1.1 and Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 as a backup. - Turn off the wireless mode of 802.11b/g/n to strictly use the " n " standard. It's not the year 2000 anymore and let's be real, any device connecting to this isn't going to be 15+ years old most likely. - For some reason it defaults to using nonstandard 2.4GHz channels, set the channels manually to either 1, 6, or 11. I chose 6. READ THE ABOVE ^: On initial setup, expect speeds of around 5 mbps down / 1 mbps upload on Band 2 with AT&T. You can connect this to a travel router such as a GLi.Net Beryl or Opal, but your speeds are going to tank down to less than 1 mbps download and 1 mbps upload. It's better to use the built in WiFi on the stick. FIRST TIME SETUP Setup was sort of difficult. I had the AT&T rep look at me really funny when I showed the IMEI on the device. He thought I was a hacker or something. Anyway, I had to reboot the device twice before it activated, once activated it found the necessary APN settings and started getting data. You really need to be patient since this device is slow to boot up. Once going you can run it off any 5V USB power bank, USB port, etc. ... show more
