  • Money well spent.
Style: 48V 105Ah
I bought this a couple of months ago to replace the lead acid batteries in my 48v EZGO TXT. The reviews I read were helpful and overall I really like this product. It was expensive but so are the regular batteries. For a little more money you can go first class, and this is a great upgrade that’s well worth the price. The Good: The extra power is amazing. I got 10 more mph out of my cart. I’m not sure if it’s the power itself or because I dropped a lot of weight, but woah. It also looks well-built and comes in a nice package. The install was easy enough and done in a couple of hours with the help of a couple of YouTube videos. The supplied charger works fast and the lcd display is a nice feature. The app is also really good as a display. What you read about the consistent performance is absolutely true. You have the same power at 10% as you do at a full charge. That alone is a good perk. The Not So Good: While it lasts way longer on a charge than what I was running before, I’m only averaging about 35 miles with a full charge. Some of the reviews I read said they averaged 50+ miles with theirs. I didn’t but it’s not really a complaint. 35 is still better than what I was working with. The Bad: I did have to upgrade a few additional things on my cart due to the additional power that this battery provides. I replaced the solenoid and some older wiring that was original. I’m likely going to replace the battery cables to the motor with a larger gauge because of heat. Reading up it sounds like these are common issues that are likely to occur so don’t be surprised if you have to do something similar. Overall I wish I would’ve tried this sooner. I feel like it was money well spent and look forward to less maintenance. If you’re on the fence I promise you won’t be disappointed or regret this one. ... show more

  • Amazing battery power!
Style: 48V 150Ah
I am very impressed with the Vatrer battery. Not only does it last forever, it is quiet, lightweight, and easy to install. I watched a few youtubes and did it myself. The performance that this battery provides is remarkable! I highly recommend this to anyone looking to convert their Golf Cart from deep cell batteries to lithium. My Golf Cart mechanic had never used over a Vatrer battery prior to seeing mine. He too was very impressed with what this battery offers. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Awesome upgrade!!
Style: 48V 150Ah
Installed this on a 2020 icon i60l. Installation is really easy and only took about 1.5hrs. I installed a 150ah size and honestly you could install bigger in these carts, plenty of room. YouTube has plenty of information on lithium conversions and different cart brands require different install methods. For the icon i60l some minor battery tray trimming is required and a way to secure the battery. I had some small metal brackets laying around and they worked perfect to fasten to the frame and battery base tabs. Also you will need to purchase some longer battery cables that go from battery to controller box. 4 feet was plenty for my application. Ok these carts have a safety switch from factory to prevent driving while charger is plugged in and obviously installing a new charger comes with some decision making. I just removed the positive and negative leads from the factory charger and used heat shrink / tape and fastened them to the bracket in battery compartment. I chose to just leave the factory charger under the drivers seat and didn’t unplug any of the harness. This will allow you to install your new battery and new charger without having the safety lockout on you. If you ever decide to go back to lead acid or sell the cart then all your factory wires are ready to be reutilized. Yes a safety feature will be disabled as you would be able to drive off with a charger plugged in, I just loop my extension cord through the steering wheel while charging cart. If you still drive off with it like that you probably have had to many brewskis. Overall very satisfied with the quality and performance of the new Vatrer 150ah lithium battery and charger system and just like many others time will tell on its ability to perform at years 7-10. ... show more

  • Vatrer battery in a 2019 48 volt club car
Style: 48V 105Ah
So it’s only been about a week since installing vatrer 51.2 volt 105 ah lithium battery. Previously I had 6 8 volt lead acid batteries and on cell on one battery had gone bad (bubbled and smoked and smelled like rotten eggs). So after a few days of research I decided to give Vatrer batteries a shot. Pros: much lighter (saved about 270 lbs) Cart is faster (not sure if it’s just due to loss of weight or the cart had more power but it’s definitely noticeable.) Saved room to add a cooler No more adding water No corrosion More accurate battery meter (no more guessing when I need to charge) Looks way better Easy to make it a true on board charger. (Plug in anywhere with extension cord) Longer range No maintenance 5 year warranty 5000 + charge cycles Cons: price is more than your lead acid (however if you break it down it’s not that bad. Costco 8 volts would run about $800 with a life span of 4-5 years, Trojans $1500, but both you would still be heavy and have to add water every 2 weeks to maintain the battery.) so really the extra cost is worth it to me. I understand why people say costumer service is difficult since they seem to be on a different time zone but Brandon was very responsive if you are up late or just wait til the following morning. He answered every question I had. LCD screen can be a little better. Power button is a little hard to push and mounting bracket can be a little more versitle (but I was able to make it work) In structures can have a little more info like when you should charge it and but after speaking with Brandon he told me anytime I wanted to but try not to run it under 15%. He said anywhere between 15-20% would be good. Also to fully charge it before first use. Battery came with 50% charge. Overall we are very pleased with the produce so far. I can’t wait to see how it holds up in the long run. At 5000+ charge cycles it could last 13 years and that would be huge but even if it did half that I’d be happy. $2000 for an 8 year battery is not bad. Keeping my fingers crossed and will update review in a few month. Thank you Vatrer and Brandon. ... show more
