I've wanted to try this scent for a while. I had heard of it and the price was very reasonable. The scent is a bit strong for me and the initial citrus scent reminded me of lemon Pledge. This smells and looks just like what I remember from the 1960's and what I bought a tiny bottle of in Cologne, Germany a couple years ago. I love the smell, but it disappears almost as fast as it dries (both this one and the one from the original 4711 store). Back in the 70’s certain airlines gave these to passengers to freshen up with, kind of like a hand-i-wipe. Smelling it brings back fond memories from childhood. Lemony, citrus-y, yummy freshness. This isn't a perfume or fragrance that were used to with lasting power. It's short lived, more of a 'refresher' meant to be applied a few times throughout the day. It can be quite heavy at the outset, but fries down to a clean, crisp scent.

I have been using 4711 for at least 30 yrs and Love it. It is one of my favorites. Difficult to find too. Very light lemon scent, fresh scent. Great for summer. I use both spray and splash.
