We needed a little in-demand water heater for the pool house shower, and this was replacing a Marey Eco110. The price was definitely right. Install- no problem once you translate the Chinese wiring standard to US. The enclosed instructions are bad, and the QR code on them promising “installation video” takes you to a PDF of the instruction booklet you are holding. Everything powered up, and I set the temp at 125F (“beware the scald,” the instructions said). I turned on the sink to see how it worked, and there was instant hot water. The water temp was better than the Marey, in fact. And it was getting hotter. And hotter, in fact, I adjusted the temp on the sink to equalize the temp, to no avail. In fact, I did get scalded as the temperature of the water became too hot for me to keep my hand under the faucet. Was 125F too much for this little guy? And then the “beep” from the heater. I ran around the corner to see what was going on, and saw the “E1” error code flashing on the display. I tried to turn off the heater, tried to adjust the temperature down, but no response from the unit. I ran back to the faucet and turned it off, and within seconds heard a large pop, like a gunshot. Running back to the heater installation, I see that the PEX plumbing has burst on the hot water side of the heater, and water is pouring out as it goes through the heater. There’s a smell of electrical fire in the air. Breakers off, water off, I’m going to disconnect this thing and send it back. I’ll pay the extra for the Marey next time. ... show more

    • Small booster that requires electrical upgrades
The plan was to use this as a booster for the shower in an added bathroom far from the house water heater. The under sink plug-ins only required adding an outlet to the disposal’s switch box in the kitchen and using an existing outlet in the bathroom, then using some PEX connectors to tie into the existing water supplies. This one takes pulling new higher gauge copper wiring to a new larger circuit breaker before adapting the shower hot water supply to go through this heater. As a booster, it helps save water keeping the shower from having to run several minutes before getting warm. It really isn't strong enough to supply much on its own and would've been better if it could be installed as easily as the under sink ones. ... show more

I have to admit that when I read the few reviews, I was not sure about this purchase but I wanted something small and easy to install myself and this one seemed to fit the bill best. I am glad I went with it since it has worked perfectly for just my shower and bathroom sink which is all I wanted it for since it is the farthest from my home hot water heater it took an actual 5-7 minutes for the water to reach full temperature and a lot of wasted water. This thing installed under the sink no problem, I had no problem diverting the hot water hoses for the shower and sink (they were easy to reach, your situation might be different) and it is instant hot water that has not run out in my shower and the sink it never on more than a couple of minutes at most. Given the price, the ease of installation and the performance this is an easy 5 Star rating. NOTE: The separate mounting bracket makes hanging the heater super easy and if you ever need to replace or remove it for any reason it only takes a couple of minutes at most. ... show more

This is a good low profile hot water heater. I used it in a backyard bathtub/hot tub to pre-heat water and it's worked well. However, it is an amperage hungry animal. Mine will trip a 25 amp circuit with no extension. I wouldn't recommend for 15 amp circuits or extension cord with this unit.

We had to buy a second one because the plastic fittings broke when installing the first one. This tankless water heater won’t hold the temperature; cannot change from Celsius to Fahrenheit; stops working & shows “E2”. No instructions whatsoever came with it.
