I used these on my Craftsman 42" riding mower. They fit the five star mounting hole perfectly. I had to clean the caked on grass gunk off the underside of the mower deck to give them clearance. The original blades are curved at the mounting hole while these are flat but that is not a problem. They are also thicker and wider than the stock blades which is also not a problem. The first time I mowed the lawn I went to clean the mower deck of clippings that build up there which have always been significant in the past. To my surprise, there was no appreciable clipping build-up. Apparently these blades spit the clippings out of the discharge chute and not up in the air. It is important to keep that area clean so the belts and pulleys can't overheat. That alone is worth the change. The photos show the "high lift" feature of the blade, the three "claws" that are supposed to shred clippings and the difference in width and thickness compared to the original blades. ... show more

These blades are thick, and durable. At first I was skeptical because they aren’t very sharp out of the box. But my god these babys are ment for cutting and they blow through damn near anything with ease. I’ve hit countless mole holes, sticks, branches, and brush, and these cut right through it like it isn’t even there!!!!! 5 out of 5! ... show more

Suprisingly these blades where balanced really well right out of the box. Cut very nicely and mulched really good too. Better than the old style mulching blades even when they were sharp.
