I LOVE my bed & I am PICKY about how it looks when made (Queen). I'm short 5'1", late 60's. I have struggled for 5+ years since getting a new mattress which are now ridiculously (seriously, ridiculously!) thick... mine is 17" (nutty). With my original, regular 9" box spring & 17" mattress on top of the bed slats (rails/slats at lowest level), it's like mountain climbing every night, no lie. I had a small step stool (really? to climb into bed?). With stool & grabbing bedding from other side of bed it was a journey nightly. I snapped. I Googled my bed height dilemma and found there are thinner box spring options. Eureka! My local mattress store wanted $250 for a 5" box spring. This product (4") had great reviews all the way around, including building it. I didn't want to build completely before I knew it would work for me. I laid out the 4 main pieces (no screws), gently slid giant mattress on it, and I fell in love... got to work screwing all sides together STUPID EASY!!! with tools provided, very little cursing, and under an hour later my bed dilemma has been cured. I cannot believe I didn't do this 4-1/2 years ago! Buy it! You will not be disappointed. It is extremely solid, all metal. Let's face it, it sits under your heavy mattress. This frame suited us perfectly. It went together quickly and appears to be well engineered. The only issue we had was that our mattress is not a memory foam one and therefore is pretty light - it had a tendency to move around. There are no adhesive strips to keep it from moving. But, for less than $20 we ordered non-slip gaskets and installed them, installed around the framr, effectively preventing the mattress from sliding. ... show more

just spend the extra money and go to a local shop to purchase a box spring. don’t make the mistake i made. the box spring comes completely disassembled, leaving you with hours worth of assembly only for the pieces to be poorly made and incompatible with each other. it’s poor design, poor quality, and not a good value for your money. frustrating, a waste of time and money. ... show more

I got this to go on top of my frame that I got a year ago because I did not want plywood underneath my bed anymore and this was the perfect size gave my bed a little bit more hight and made it easier for me to put more things under my bed with the frame because it gave me more height so Great buy also was super easy to build Literally took me 30 minutes and everything was wrapped so neatly never thought I was gonna lose a piece ever came with tools and everything definitely my best buy so far highly recommend also, when you get the box just to let you know, it is a little heavy because all the metal pieces are wrapped and tightly put into the box, but the whole thing fit in my car and I have a very small car ... show more
