This cooktop is very attractive and after making sure the gas connections were secure we had it installed! The price of this unit is significantly cheaper than other brands. My whirlpool went bad and removed that one and set it aside. This gasland one I opened up had a way cheaper feel to it than the whirlpool. You could easily tell the difference in quality. Whirlpool had metal parts and was heavies compared to plastic on the gasland. Besides all of this, the unit works like it should. ... show more

Our previous cooktop was a ceramic glass gas cooktop which we loved because of the easy cleanup. The grate dropped on the top and cracked the glass, so our first choice was going to be another ceramic top. Both my wife and I cook and host many large parties and worked in the service industry and are always looking for quality and durability. We were hesitant to buy a stainless cooktop but couldn’t be more happy with this appliance. I was concerned that maybe the BTU’s wouldn’t be adequate for our needs but I was wrong. Very easy to use, quality stainless top is even easier to clean than the ceramic top. Love the layout of the 5 burners which maximizes the cooktop space. Just hosted a party of 25 that went off without a hitch. It is now the center piece of our newly renovated chef kitchen. Highly recommend. ... show more

The price is half or better than comparable cooktops. Easy to install and well made. The shipping was fast and the videos helped with my decision. It works well but you need to get used to the igniting system, but once you do, it's okay. The only part that is a little hard to clean is the castiron pieces.
