We purchased this fountain for our landscaped area adjacent to the backyard patio. We were pleased with the light weight, ease of assembly and overall appearance. In general we thought this was perfect for what we were trying to do. Once we set it up and it began to operate we noticed that we had to refill the fountain on a regular basis. After about 48 hours we noticed that the soil around the base of the fountain appeared damp. We moved the fountain onto the concrete patio, refilled it and turned it on. Immediately, the base of the fountain showed dampness and within an hour there was a large wet spot below the fountain. It is obvious that we're going to have to find a clear waterproofing to apply to the base of the fountain and hope it holds water. If this doesn't work, we'll have wasted our money! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOUNTAIN TO ANY OF OUR FRIENDS! ... show more

Take caution when using this fountain indoors and learn from my ridiculous mistake. And even with my mistake fixed, it still does splash out enough when the pump is turned up to the highest, to need to protect your surroundings if indoors. But I started with a love/hate relationship with this thing (and now it's nothing but love). I love the sound that fountains make and find them just soothing to my soul. Although my husband equally hates the sound! So we have to compromise. But in an attempt to make our bedroom more tranquil, I wanted this one in there for when he's not home. And it sounds and looks amazing! The best ever. The first night I thought the pump was louder than the water, but when it's working right, there's nothing farther from the truth. This gets as loud in a great way, as you could ever want. And is a great night light. The first night it water damaged and ruined an old wood piece of furniture that I had it on though, but it was all my fault. However customer service quickly and graciously wanted to make it right anyway. They are very friendly and their customer service goes above and beyond. The cords for the lights (pictured) are long enough to easily extend outside of the fountain and my terrible instincts wanted to protect them from as much water as possible so I stuck them outside of the fountain. Which meant water ran along them and dripped out because they're designed to go inside. It's been working great ever since I fixed that mistake and I love the sound so much. And the cat loves it too. The media could not be loaded. Perfect size, we placed this next to our fireplace and we love it! It’s lightweight and was very easy to setup. My husband move it outside when our friends come to visit and we want to sit outside often on our patio and enjoy the fountain, it's very relaxing after a long day at work. The lighting at the bottom, middle and top is just beautiful. The dimensions on this beauty are 11.5x13.5x33.5 inches, very well COOGO poly resin and fiberglass which makes it rust-free, has built in LED lights on each tier, this gives you a soothing and relaxing effect. A few tips I learned follow: Make sure to fill the entire basin with water when running the pump and refill often for best results, the sound mimics running water vs. other fountain we had before that sounded like water hitting a tin roof, the water spread out pretty evenly and not splash. The media could not be loaded. I have two other fountions of similar color and face plates. This simple, neutral, symmetrical design ties all 3 fountains together. However, this fountain is different from the others, in that, it has two power cords. So keep this in mind for installation. If putting the fountain on a timer, like I did, you'll need a dual outlet timer for both fountain and lights to work in unison. I would describe this fountain as medium in size at approximately 35inches tall. My other two, I'd consider large at approximately 50inches in height, by comparison. It's light weight; I unboxed, installed, with timer, in 20 minutes. It has a nice slide door at the back that accommodates the cords exit, and keeps unwanteds out of the water reservoir ( the other don't have this feature). It holds approximately 2 gallons of water, less than my other two which holds approximately 4 gallons each. From my experience, refilling time should be around a week. But I will keep an eye on it daily until I get to know how often it gets thirsty to prevent it drying out and damaging the pump. Being outdoors, this will depend on the season too. My fountain experience to date suggests I have a winner in this purchase. Would recommend. ... show more
