For starters the remote doesn’t work all too well, and the battery compartment has to be set and twisted just right or else it won’t work at all. In theory this isn't a bad product. In practice, when it's literally rolled into a ball and thrown in a box and impossible to unwind and understand what's happening (took me 40 minutes, before setup), it's pretty annoying. And then to hang it up and the lights be so underwhelming...disappointing.

Purchased for a Christmas in July event. Lights were a lot dimmer than I expected. You could see them at night when it was completely dark, but not before. Lights were also much smaller. Remote control did not work at all, but I was able to control with the switch on the battery case.

    • Lighting backdrop for wedding. Will use at my new house for ambient lighting.

These work great! I am using them for my wedding so I went ahead and put them up in my bedroom to get stretched out. They create a soft ambient light, not enough to see very well. I also hav white christmas lights in my room and when I turned them on, I noticed how much brightwr they were. These are small LED lights with small tips, not as long as a traditional christmas light. The dimmer works well, but there isn't a very large variation in brightness. I don't know what I expected but it wasn't as noticeable as I thought. I has 10 levels of brightness. The lights blinks off when you switch to a different brightness, something I'm glad to know before my wedding if I decide to have them brighter or dimmer at certain points of the night. It's not like a dial, when you think of a house dimmer. You have to push right in the middle of the remote buttons to get them to work. I used my fingernail because sometimes it took a few tries. I love that it has multpile settings to choose from. I wish it had a constant twinkle on 1 because it's so pretty. It switches between different twinkles on 1 and 2. Button 7 is seizure mode. Make sure you don't lose the remote because you can't turn it on from the battery pack on the lights themselves. ... show more
