No water plant: 1>. Put the water grass mud lamp into the fish tank. 2>. Spread the seeeds evenly on the grass mud, about 1212 IN Each bag. Do not cover the seeeds with mud. 3>. Spray water once a day to keep the soil moist (not too much or the seeeds will float up). 4>. Keep the fish tank temperature around (82 ℉). It usually sprouted in 5-7 days. 5>. After the bud becomes green, slowly fill the tank with water. Don't hit the bottom bed. 6>. Filter the heating rod after filling the water, maintain the temperature 82F and begin to filter. 7>. It becomes water grass scene after 15 days. 2. With water plant(Suitable for winter): 1>. Put the water grass mud lamp into the fish tank. 2>. Spread the seeeds evenly on the grass mud, about 1212 IN Each bag. Then cover with a thin layer mud. 3>. Please fill water into your tank by the wall of tank to follow wall go down into tank slowly & gently. 4>. Filter the heating rod after filling the water, maintain the temperature between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius and begin to filter. 5>Install light fixtures 5-8 hours per day (if the filter washes away the seeeds, wait a few days before opening). 6>. I had a very successful growth with the bigger seeds outside of the tank. Use a sushi container like a mini greenhouse with some aquarium soil (the round pebble-looking soil). It took about a week or less to start sprouting and growing fast. I made sure to keep good moisture, and once they got to a big size, I planted them inside my fish tank for my shrimp to eat. The smaller seeds grew better within the tank. With the use of my light, the plants grew, taking a little over a week but still relatively fast. The seeds all floated to the top, couldn't get any of them to the substrate. Then they congealed into a large mess in the tank. It was a nightmare trying to clean this mess up.

Long grass seeds are not good. I have sowed them different ways but they never grow. Small grass seeds are good.

Have been misting the seeds everyday, when they look dry, germination took a few days, longer for the carpeting plants, the carpeting plant seeds do have this slimy residue as they germinate. Highly recommend using sand in a Tupperware container, sprinkling seeds on the top, then just continuously misting them as they get dry. I've moved a few sprouts of the grass type plant into a few of my tanks. So far they're still alive and growing. ... show more

I'm on day 11. So far so good. :) I've seen some negative reviews but it doesn't look like these people are using the correct substrate. In my picture you can see my substrate. Also, some see sprouts sooner but I did make a mistake so I believe it's my fault. Add plastic wrap. Makes a difference. Also, I'm using a spray bottle with 3 parts water 1 part fertilizer and it seems to be helping. Exited to add water soon. I will keep you all updated. Also, in the last picture you can see the seeds are even growing on the rocks ❤️ pretty cool ... show more

    • Nothing germinates after 2 months
Save your money, as all the reviews seem to agree on. NOTHING germinated after 2 months, and following instructions the best I could, they are very strangely worded. It tells you to carefully follow planting instructions, but I see THIS in their product info; "Product Care Instructions: Corona virus" and "Don't hit the bottom bed. Filter the heating rod after filling the water" so basically, I did the best I could using knowledge I had from other plants. I have a feeling the "instructions" were very poorly translated, as they are nonsense. "if the filter washes away the seeeds, wait a few days before opening" uhh, before opening what? my filter? ... show more

Wasnt sure if these would work it did take about 6 days to start sprouting. Growing in blasting sand with some seachem flouish. I sprinkled both packages in the tank but it appears only one type of seed seems to be growing. Overall happy with the purchase

I'm not growing any]athing but algae so far but who knows. The packages aren't labeled so you don't know what kind of seeds you are getting or which seeds are supposed to be grass
