Excellent product. My 65lb Aussie is crazy about this thing. I've bought other automated dog balls on Amazon, but this one stands out. The soft coating makes it interesting for your dog to chew and reduces the noise of them dropping it on a hard floor. It also has better motions than other similar toys I've purchased. The charging port is well designed, like a needle that pokes through the ball; you don't need to disassemble it to charge and the port is waterproof. The toy is easy to clean with dish soap and water. People complaining about this product likely bought it for the wrong sized dog or are expecting it to entertain their dogs for them. So, here are some things to know before you buy: 1) It's best for medium-sized dogs. Why? It's a bit smaller than a tennis ball. Large dogs will be able to open their mouth wide enough to chew this with their back teeth, where most of the bite force is-- meaning they'll easily destroy the ball. However, this ball is also too large for toy-sized dogs or those that are too small to chew a tennis ball. 2) Use it in short bursts, a few times per week. This will keep it novel and exciting for your dog. My dog is an aggressive chewer, but I let him have it for a few hours per week and he's not making any noticable damage. Give your dog this toy with other toys (like plush toys) at the same time so they have some chewing alternatives. 3) Like many dog toys, it requires an attentive parent. It's not designed to keep a dog entertained for hours while the owner goes out and does their own thing. For one, there's a lithium battery inside and your dog is chewing it, so you'll probably want to keep a close watch. Also, it's small and can easily roll under furniture. ... show more

UPDATE: I have contacted this company that is in China for a replacement or refund and all I get is a run around! They keep asking me for videos showing how it doesn’t turn on ?!?!? In other words they want me to go away- very bad customer service! Amazon needs to remove their products! Don’t waste your money unless you want to pay a lot for a little round rubber ball. The interactive ball was really cute while it was working but after three months, it stopped working it charges, but it doesn’t turn on a total waste. ... show more

    • Doesn't work well on even low pile carpet.
This ball is pretty neat. My dog loves it. BUT- I have an area rug with very short pile and the ball isn't strong enough to operate freely on it. Would be better if the insides were probably just a little more forceful when rolling. Of course, something like that might actually hurt the dogs mouth since it also bounces freely without help from me. Great for linoleum or hardwood floors though! ... show more

Great durable toy for small puppy My smaller dog loves this rechargeable ball. When he's fixated on it and keeps him busy while chasing it that helps get that extra energy from him on days too cold to go outside and walk.

    • Not worth the price for high utilizers - faulty
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this ball in early October and immediately returned it because it was defective. Amazon sent me a replacement and although it held up past the “returnable time” window, it finally gave out today. Admittedly, my 3 year old border collie has loved this toy since it came in. We charge it daily and she will roll it around until it tuckers out. The battery life leaves something to be desired but I imagine future versions will improve on that. We just about hit the 45 day mark and it has finally out and won’t keep charge like it used to. A full charge used to last us a couple of hours and now we’re at 20/25 minutes. The center button is also sinking in so that may be a part of the problem. Worth noting the material of the ball is durable and stands up to dog teeth pretty well - although there are indentations around the ball, it doesn’t seem like a dog would be able to get through it unless they are a power chewer. I won’t be purchasing a new one - $40 for a toy that didn’t even last 2 months is not a good investment in my opinion. It’s a shame really, I know my dog will miss it. ... show more

I have a new little three month old Yorkie that needs a ton of attention and is full of energy! This came today, and she has been playing with it for almost an hour, saving her human mommy tons of energy.     • The battery dies after 1 play session, and my puppy destroyed it rather quickly.

My dog really loves this product whether it works or not. I'm not sure whether it's because it worked as intended the first day or two so he fell in love with it, or if dogs just like balls in general. The intro video was cute and even showed a dog taking the ball off the charger from the wall. Head this unintended warning as the charger tends to break easily when plucked from the wall in a dog's mouth. Also, after a week or so, the bouncing and rolling of the ball stopped after about 10 minutes, needing another charge. Finally, I just found the ball on the floor with the outside covering distorted and twisted around the moving part underneath. I was able to pull the sheath back over the activation button, but it was dead when I tried to turn in on. Conceptually this is awesome, but I'd rather have that ball with the raccoon tail on it in the middle display center at your local shopping mall. (Where did those go?!) ... show more
