Had difficult time fitting on to my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. The installation of harness is easy but software is slow and mirroring my iphone does not work. All videos does not go through the head unit. Car play works well but bluetooth connection is slow. Instruction says to put the rear camera wiring harness for better bluetooth signal but it does not help with better connection. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a quick review of this stereo. I like this unit. The build quality is great and the instructions easy as any other stereo. The android system itself it responsive but still gives you a slight almost not noticeable “sticking”. I wouldn’t get lower than 2G RAM version but more RAM=more money. It’s not enough for it to be a con though. I wish the unit itself had a better built in equalizer. I’d also mention that this doesn’t have more than one auxiliary output (for amplifier) so you’ll have to go old school and buy you a crossover. No big deal. The sound quality seems to be on point (stock Nissan T31 Xtrail speakers). The reverse camera is also good but it’s build quality feels cheap so time will tell (it’s outside the car so weather will take it). It’s a hard screen so awesome. The GPS is slow but it works. The night and day mode (brightness) is very nice as well just be sure to hook it up. Now for what I didn’t like. When the unit is idle (no music playing) the back/heat sink is cool to the touch however when I played music the heat sink got so hot it burned my fingers and I even saw a little smoke (momentarily; maybe it was some glue or something burning away as it’s new) but it never appeared again. Likewise I pulled out a mini 12v fan from an old computer power supply and hooked it up to the accessory switch and that keeps the unit cool enough to touch while I jammed music for at least 30mins on max volume. This may not be your experience but it’s mine so BE SURE TO CHECK THE BACK FOR EXTREME heating and just super glue a small fan anywhere on the heat sink and you on like corn. Update: The unit looses the “loud” on feature, which actually makes the speakers sound good. I constantly have to navigate into the setting to turn it back on with every car start. This stereo actually has 4 usb ports which is awesome. In the description it said that it was android 11, but the unit came with android 12 installed. It ran smooth. I did have some issue with the unit, but after some technical support from HIKITY, I was satisfied.
