  • YES recommend!! Great for overnight camps; can use other brand's accessories with cooler
I needed an in-between sized cooler for overnight or two-day camping trips. I have a Yeti 45 Tundra and then an Igloo lunch box sized cooler - this is the perfect middle size! For funsies, I put my Yeti Tundra basket in the cooler and it fits - it's tight but the lid closes, seals, and latches. There are slots in the side that look like they can accommodate other accessories from well-known brands - like the side cup holders or rod holders we've all probably seen. I've used this on overnight trips only so I can't speak to how long ice will stay in the cooler. The longest I've used it is ~30 hours and it was fine! There isn't a drain hole which is a major CON. Trying to strain out the water to lighten the load is annoying - I have to take the food/drinks out, then tip the cooler with the lid cracked to keep the remaining ice in but drain the water out, then load everything BACK in and wipe off the drips of water on the exterior. I included a pic of the handles. The handles create a pinch point. I know from personal experience - ouch. You have to stretch the rubber handles over the screw to latch it and I've caught my finger webbing/hands when securing. Just a heads up for those with children who like to grab their own drinks or snacks from coolers. I highly recommend this cooler for day trips or short 1-2 night trips. I'm not sure how ice will hold up on long journeys in extremely hot climates. I will update this review in the future if my opinion changes. Hopefully someone finds this helpful!! ... show more

  • Nice little cooler
We have a 12v fridge/cooler for our van trips, but wanted another small cooler just for drinks. While we have yet to use it on a van trip, I did use it for a two-day arts festival for some water and snacks. Perhaps it was because it was only half full and just the ice dumped in from our ice maker, but by day 2 it was mostly water. It was also 90 degrees both days, so I’ll hold out full judgement on that until we use it more. As another reviewer mentions, the biggest drawback on this cooler is NO DRAIN PLUG! Which means if I had wanted to add more ice, I would have needed to carefully dump, or pull everything out of the cooler. This is a huge oversight on a cooler this expensive, that otherwise seems to be very sturdy. I do love the color! ... show more

  • Perfect Size for a Weekend Getaway
There are many aspects of this cooler that I really like, and nothing that I've found that I don't. I have not tested the 3-day claim, but for my 2 days and 1-night trips it's done really well. I like that it is big enough to pile all your food, beverages, and ice with ample room. It's outer dimensions also fit perfectly behind my passenger seat for easy access. I didn't know if I'd like the latching system since I'm used to clips, but I've grown to like the rubber straps. They feel durable and keep it closed tightly. I've also seen replacements online if they ever wear out, so no worries. The other thing that is very nice on this cooler is the handle. It has pivot positions that lock in place and it's large and easy to use. When you fold it back down, it stays out of the way and is just well thought out. And lastly, the color is calming to me with the fish measurement and cup holder on top. I'm really glad I purchased this and will be using it frequently. ... show more

  • Looks and acts like a Yeti but the price wont scare you!
This cooler is ruggedly built and can definitely take a beating over time. I really appreciate some of the thoughtful design features, like the heavy-duty handles that clamp into place, and the measuring ruler on top, which is perfect for fishing trips. One feature I’ve already used multiple times is the bottle opener conveniently located under the lid—such a handy addition. As for the most important question: does it keep ice cold? I bought a bag of ice and left the cooler in my car on a hot summer day in Texas. Even after 5 hours, with the internal temperature soaring over 120°F, there were minimal signs of the ice melting. Overall, this cooler gives you quality that's comparable to Yeti or Arctic, but at a fraction of the price. Definitely a great value! ... show more

  • Great Seal helps keep thing cold.
I like this size. Perfect for an 18 pack of long necks plus some frozen freezer packs. The cold lasts for a long time. Load it with beer on Friday night and given you don't drink all the beer right away, you will have COLD beer for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Handle is great. Locks into place with a sturdy snap. Easy to carry. ... show more

  • Rugged duty cooler ready for an outdoor rough life
This cooler is made to be dragged through tough times. It is extremely ruggedly built, from the steel handle to the thick rubber clasps that hold the lid tight. I didn't dissect it to see, but it feels like the hard plastic outer and inner shells are made of heavy duty materials. Of course, with all this toughness built into it's design, it's going to be a little heavier than normal. Empty, it comes in just shy of 11 lbs. So with drinks and ice added, I don't see me taking it on a long hike. But throwing it into the back of the SUV for a day at the beach or at a lake in the mountains is entirely doable. The outside dimensions are approximately 20" x 12" x 15" deep. The mfg says it'll hold 30 cans and I guess that seems right. But for a casual test, I put in six 16 oz Diet Pepsis and emptied our ice bin from the freezer into it. I'm estimating about 3 to 4 quarts of ice, and the soft drinks were room temperature to start out. This is day two of the test, roughly 32 hours into it, and there is still some ice left in the water. Tomorrow, day 3, I figure the ice will be gone but the contents will still be cold. I consider this very good performance, but not outstanding. So, for the price what you are getting is a cooler that seems to be able to withstand Armageddon with a strong comfortable handle and sturdy rubber clasps. At one point in my life I was pretty heavy into saltwater sport fishing and I keep thinking I would have loved to have this on my boat. I'd keep my food stuff and drinks in it and keep a bigger, cheaper cooler for the bait and catches. I can recommend it, but maybe catch it on sale. The price of $95 strikes me as kinda high for a cooler that's not really a big one, nor is it a small one either. ... show more
