I replaced a 3000 GPH pond/waterfall pump with this OYO Pump. Appears to be well built and did a fair job of providing enough flow so the waterfall sounded nice. However, I learned that 2000 GPH is not enough to keep the algae/moss from growing in my pond. With the prior 3000 GPH pump, I used a small bale of barley straw to keep the water crystal clear all year: no chemicals were necessary. But with this 2000 GPH pump, there was not quite enough aeration and flow to prevent the moss/algae from growing. The product itself is quiet and works fine. But the 2000 GPH capacity that I selected was just a bit too small as a pond/waterfall pump so I could keep the water crystal clear. ... show more

Everything's works wonderfully and it's quiet. The only thing I would like to mention is it requires a 1 inch 1/4 tubing for the connection. It is hard to find at the local hardware so be sure to order online when purchasing this product.

This pump is being used in a backyard pond about 30' long,25' wide and3' deep. In the past I have gone through 3 very expensive cal torpedo pumps, which go to junk within a year and cannot be rebuilt because the motor is junk and replacements are not available. This oyo pump is working great, has great pressure and I could purchase 2 for what one torpedo pump costs. Good replacement and I will never buy or recommend a cal torpedo but will praise this oyo pump anytime the opportunity comes along. Thank you oyo!!! ... show more

This review pertains to the 5000 version of the product. I wanted to know specifically which kind of hoses work with this product. I asked a question on amazon answers and got no answer. I bought the device anyway, I read the manual and it mentioned nothing about it. None of the reviews did either. I looked at the product and saw about a 2 inch opening and bought some 2 inch discharge hoses, they didn't fit and that money is wasted and gone. I'm not sure what hoses I can use to connect to this. So right now I can't use it at all and I've already wasted money which I'm not happy about. I'm willing to change my review if I can get directed to some hoses that fit and work with this edition of the product specifically. ... show more

Plastic fittings and rubber compression ring won’t hold the recommended tubing(not included)in place, tubing blows off. Also a note the pump won’t prime unless it is submerged. It says in the description can be mounted outside the pond which is why I bought it. Update. The company sent me a different pump to work with the tubing I purchased. It is a fully submerged pump that is defiantly cycling tons of water. I actual had to put a valve in to slow it down abit. I wanted to have my pump outside of my pond. Still the customer service helped and I’m at least cycling water again. ... show more
