Should I Buy It?

  • Easy to work on
Color: Green
Cool cheap machine. Wasn’t that difficult to put together myself and fun to buy cheap parts to make it better. A mikuni clone carb is almost a must (felt like it doubled the power) and a 45 tooth rear sprocket if you want to be able to do over 40mph. Bikes got a 17/45 set up on it now and will comfortably cruise at 55mph. Watch YouTube videos and read the forums and tear into one, if you got the spare cash you won’t regret it. P.S no resale value so you will be stuck with it or will end up selling it for a couple hundred dollars ... show more

  • Assembled in an afternoon
Color: Blue
Assembled in an afternoon. No instructions on assembly. There are videos to follow though. If you don’t have any mechanical experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. Runs great after a little tweaking of throttle. There is a choke, but ya kind a have to dig to find it. I’m 5’5”, little too tall for me. I don’t recommend it for anyone under 5’8”. ... show more

  • What an experience!
Color: Green
Okay, I wanted a dual sport bike around 250 cc for short trips to town and maybe lite trail riding. I always liked the Kawasakis. I went to my local Kawasaki dealer and they had in stock the 230. Looked kind of small for the 5 grand or so. I wanted to order the 300 but was told good luck on when you might get it. I started looking on the net for a 250 or so. Lots of used but new was what I had my mind on. Came across the Hawk 250. Hmmmm. Did as much research as I could and figured for that kind of money it was worth a chance. I ordered my first off of walmart, yes walmart. Ordered a lime green one because I wanted to install Kawasaki emblems lol. Ordered it, paid by credit card. In approximately an hour was told by phone "we have no green one" then why did you sell me one? Cancel my order! Went back to the walmart site and lookie there same bike in "green" for only 105 dollars more. Okay send it to me. Paid for it with my CC. Got a tracking number the next day , bike was on its way. Six days later they called and said "we no have it in green, we have black" Why do you people keep selling me something you don't have. Cancel my order! They had already charged my card and would not cancel and refund my money to my card. I had to complain to walmart and was issued a prompt refund from walmart. Ended up here on amazon. Ordered me a green one for I think 15 something, the cheapest yet. Next day I get my tracking number all is good till six days later. Bike is almost here according to tracking so why are you calling with "we have no green one"? "maybe have one in a week or so" Okay you win, I will wait. He is the inside scoop. I have it figured out. First they are all RPS. It stands for Ricky Power Sports. They all come into Texas. I am pretty sure all of these sellers are the same people. The reason they sell you something they don't have and say its on the way is to get the money from your credit card. They can't get the money until it is shipped. The bike arrived a week later in green. Nice shinny finish, hey its NEW. Put it together in two evenings. Not that big of a deal. Only instructions are on a fast speed video on youtube. Mostly common sense stuff. Took it for a ride. Probably 40mph top speed. After putting about 30 miles on her I get an email from the seller saying "don't run with the oil that came in it and DON'T drive it over 25 until broke in" Nice! Would have been great to know that before I figured out it does 40. You have to change the sprockets, easy job. Front to 17 and rear to 43 that will get you 55 or 60 with some carb work also. Simple mods. Bike drives fine. I am going to lower mine two inches. Bottom line this thing has got to be worth the 17 something that I have in it. And look it is a KLX250 clone for a fraction of the money. Order from the cheapest price, they are all the same bikes. Hope this rant helps someone. ... show more

  • China motorcycles
Color: Green
label. Came scratched up after paying to have it assembled loose parts valve adjustment ect per instructions all seemed well after proper break in it rode 4.9 miles, engine failure. For many months waiting on parts and paying the shop as I had to pay. No reimbursement.ive been advised they both not have the part to fix it. A2019 ? Now they want to have the engine pulled and sent to China as they can rig something to work, but they did offer me $ dollars and I would need to buy other parts locally. BUT that requires the engine taken apart again and I have to pay more. This is a true statement. Buyer beware so you don't end up in my shoes.... ... show more

  • Awesome value for your money
Color: Blue
I own two bikes. A sport bike and this awesome under $1500.00 when I bought it Amazon dirt bike special through moto gp the RPS Hawk 250. I do YouTube videos on this bike, and this bike is a great buy for your money. It’s fun, and reliable. I have a lot of fun on this bike. It’s what I call forgiving. If you miss a shift or jump on the throttle it’s not going to try and throw you. I would call it great for beginners and experienced riders. If you want to go trail riding or hit the streets, it is absolutely fun to ride. Amazon and the delivery of this bike is spot on. Absolutely a great buy. 👍🏼👍🏼 ... show more

  • Know what your getting!!!
Color: Blue
Cheap China Bike! Read all the other reviews. Go to China riders .net. know what your getting into. I now have almost 90 miles on mine, and it is starting easier then ever. I'm 6'1" and 240lbs and barely got it to go 50mph with the stock carb. (Replacing the carb is a standard modification, Amazon has one with good reviews for $40) Why I'm docking it 2 stars 1. - Documentation doesn't really exist! ( It would be nice to be for sure what parts fit it) 2. - Speedometer (in miles per hour) and odometer ( in km) are only about correct. Both off about 10%. ( I contacted the seller and got a replacement instrument cluster, but don't expect it to help, because this seems to be a theme @ China riders) Update - I now have about 500 miles on it. I have tried changing the sprockets, with limited results. It will do a real (see speedometer error) 45 mph reliably, faster is conditional, I weigh 250lbs. I am still happy with it for what it is. I ride it mostly on county roads and occasionally into town NOT state Highways. About speedometers, I have since learned that the motorcycle industry as a hole make their speedometers read faster than you are actual going to the limit of what the law allows. ... show more
