Adorable little ukulele. I ordered the light blue. The color is true to the picture. The instrument is of decent quality for its price point. Tuning has a bit of play, likely because it has nylon strings, but it's not too bad. My 3yo granddaughter shows a great interest in music, and loves the piano and guitar. I didn't want to buy a cheap toy with zero musical quality, but not ready to invest too much incase the interest fades. This choice is a good compromise, and fits the bill. My toddler had a one of a different brand that was much cheaper and it didn't last long. I was hesitant to spend this much on essentially a toy to him, but the quality is great and I enjoy the songs he plays and sings with it.

Let me just start off with the negatives and then tell you why you should get this ukulele anyway. The carrying bag is as flimsy as you’d think it is, the dots marking the frets are a little off center, you can tell where parts have been glued together and aren’t on center, there’s knicks in the body, and the laughable “high quality” sticker in the inside void of a model number tells you this is an instrument to avoid. However, after all of this, I would still recommend this to complete beginners who’ve never touched a ukulele before. I was worried that the complaints about constant tuning were true, but once you’ve tuned it a few times, it actually holds pretty well. Well enough for you to learn. I guess that’s my main point for actually liking this ukulele. I’ve had it for less than a week, and I can already play most open chords and a few songs. I wanted to pay enough money that I got a usable instrument, but didn’t want to make an investment on an instrument I didn’t even know if I’d take to. That’s where this uke shines. It’s only the cost of a cheap night out, and you CAN play and learn on this. I will certainly seek to buy a better quality ukulele when I can, but this one will last until then, and that’s all that matters. ... show more

Great for beginners as it’s not much money. Found it easy to learn the Disney song Lava. The sound quality was good enough to get a good feel for a ukulele but without the big investment. Gave it to my daughter to learn and bought an upgrade. It doesn’t stay nicely tuned like my other ukuleles but after a tuning you are good to go. Just tune it before each play and during at the beginning. After that the strings will settle a bit and stay tuned for the whole practice or jam session. ... show more

regardless of how much i tune it, the strings always end up out of tune. the G string is the only one that i don’t have to constantly readjust, but the C string has a tendency to go sharp and E & A have a tendency to go flat. the chords end up sounding horrible.

Does not tune. The strings rub up against other pegs and it’s very cheaply made. We found another option from an outside source in the same price range that was much higher quality.
