bought because it says steel auger it is not it is plastic to me this is false advertisement and the amazon should be responsible for allowing this to happen shame on the Grove Craft for advertising as such they should be made accountable for false information and a full refund without having to ship back we believed in their advertisemnt but were very wronged shame shame shame ... show more

I purchased this after doing hours of research to understand the difference between other snow blowers and I’m pleased to say that I have found the perfect blower. We had a snowstorm last month and I realized that shoveling snow isn’t an option anymore especially when you’re over 50 years old. This blower is definitely good and I finally had the opportunity to use it today for the first time since I got it weeks ago. 2-14-25 *Updated review from 1 Star for lying about the steel auger to 3 stars* I’m still NOT happy that IN PRINT it claims to have a steel auger. However, I have used it twice for 5”+ snow removal on my flat concrete driveway so I can comment positively on that. Point- I am a 64 yr old woman with a bad knee and limited upper body strength. As others have said, be sure that whatever plug you use has nothing else plugged into it. I had a lawnmower battery charger plugged in, not even charging a battery, and that was enough to trip the breaker. Once I cleared that up, no other issues. As fast as you can walk, this easily clears the snow to the concrete. Twice I’ve cleared approx 5” of snow, not powder but not slush. Heavy enough it would have taken awhile for me to shovel. I had no issues with jamming in the chute. It throws the snow 10-12 ft. I have a fairly long double driveway so I start in the middle and work outward. It does ok on the heavy stuff from the plows at the end of the driveway, although it doesn’t clear anything hard or chunky with the same ease as the driveway snow. I had to go at it a bit at a time. It does not like frozen sticks that may fall and get trapped under the snow. What I do really like is that it is lightweight, and gets the job done quickly with minimal effort. The 180° rotating chute with angled height adjustment works easily even when covered in snow. I kind of liken it to using a vacuum cleaner, easy to maneuver, and I don’t get any neck or shoulder strain when using this. It’s kinda fun, and as my piles grow larger on each side of the driveway I don’t have to worry about lifting shovel fulls of snow to toss them over the top. For the price I paid, if I only used it twice and it died I would still be ahead of paying a service to clear my snow. It seems like I will be able to use it for a few years, no problem. I would give it 4 stars if the ad copy wasn’t a total lie. It CLEARLY states in the description that it has an ALL STEEL AUGER. It’s plastic! Other than that, no complaints do date. ... show more
