I installed 5 strands of these this weekend in my backyard. They're fairly durable, no broken bulbs during the installation even though they were getting knocked around a little bit. The lights are heavy but I think that's a function of their durability. At the end of installation, I saw 1 bulb out of the 75 was out but since each set came with a spare bulb it was no problem to replace. IMO the lights work and look great. HOWEVER, just one rainy day later, when I turned the lights on last night, I noticed 4 more bulbs had gone out. It had been up less than 30 hours and I'm already out of spare bulbs. This is very worrisome because I had planned on getting some good use out of these lights but if they keep going out at this rate, I'll have to do all new strands next weekend. ... show more

I used outdoor 3M clips to hang these lights around the patio. Follow the instructions to hang the lights, then insert the bulbs, then power up. I chose these lights b/c they have the most sockets per foot. 52 feet of cable, 24 sockets, plus three spare bulbs. I was a bit worried at first because a couple of the sockets didn't seem to want to accept the bulbs, they just spun like a stripped screw. We just had to apply a bit of force to get them in, so all is good. I'm going to attach a few pics, ignore the Christmas lights in the background. ... show more

The second batch that came look nothing like the first batch, perhaps they sent me the wrong ones or sent me a cheaper version since they appear to be cheaper in quality and look nothing like the images displayed. Unfortunately they overwhelmed my small screened in deck but I loved them and kept them anyway. These are more suited to a larger outdoor space. The lights work great. It's a good thing the bulbs are plastic though because the little plastic hangers keep breaking and the lights fall down. We've only had them a few months and they are under our porch roof so they are protected from any elements that would cause them to break so quickly. *Edit to add: the wires pulled out from the plug end after having for 1 yr.
