  • A dual voltage ac/dc tig and stick welder (6010 electrode compatible)
This is a great welder. It comes with a 9 series air cooled torch and a 20 series water cooled torch, a 400 amp bronze ground clamp, a stinger for stick welding, a nice ball type gas flow regulator, a flexible hose for the regulator, a 120v to 230v plug adapter (The welder has a 230 plug on it), and a foot pedal with an adhesive grit pad on top. Now the 20 series torch can't be used unless you buy a water cooler for it. You will burn it up if used without water cooling. The welder does have a plug in the back for you to plug the water cooler into so that when the welder is on the water cooler is on and vice versa but what ever power source the welder is plugged into is what the outlet on the back will supply. If you use the welder on both voltages you are probably going to want to get a 120v / 230v multi voltage water cooler. But you don't have to use that 20 torch or any water cooled torch unless your welding really thick material or mildly thick none stop. You can always get a bigger air cooled torch also. This welder has high frequency start and lift arc. It can weld as low as 5 amps ac and 3 amps dc. It's also a stick welder and can weld with 6010 as it has a special mode for them. It has 4 ac wave forms to chose from and lots of pulse options and balance. It has arc force control, hot start time, and hot start intensity for Stick welding. A spot weld timer. You can save 9 of your favorite settings. It has 2T/4T and foot pedal. It also has up slope and down slope. It comes with consumables for both torches but does not come with tungsten. So make sure you have or get some. I heard 2% lanthanated is a good choice. And that 3/32 is a good all around choice size. It can handle most jobs if sharpened/ground for the job. The torches are 12.5 ft and the stinger is 10 ft long. The ground is also 10 ft. I was going to take a picture of the display but forgot and it's at work but here is a picture from their web site of what the display looks like and all the options and how they are laid out. The welder looks very well built, shiny paint. Basically it doesn't look cheap. It has a plastic cover to protect the display from splatter and dirt. It's not air tight but will do the job. It flips up and down. It does rest on the adjustment knob but that isn't a big deal as it's not putting pressure on it. The fan is none stop full blast. Some people say it's loud or annoying but I don't mind it. It not like you can't talk to somebody standing right next to it. Everlast calms the fan runs like that to give it a high duty cycle. My millermatic 211 (older style) sounds the same. The other thing people complained about is the gas hose hook up on the back of the welder. It's right in the middle on the bottom. The hose it comes with is very flexible but can be a problem. The best solution is to get a 90 degree fitting for the back of the welder so the hose goes straight up. If it's a problem. So far no problems it's a great welder. It does take a while to ship but you can't beat $2500 vs $5000 to $6000 with red or blue for the same features. I did some looking around before I bought this one as I do with anything big I buy and this is the best one with those options I found. I also saw a guy named Jody use it and he compared it to red and blues versions and it welded the same. I recommend it. ... show more

  • Green is just as good as blue or red.
Great machine, much more than I need for my shop at home. But the features are unbeatable. Only complaints are the hard wear for handles and the torch setups it comes with. Bit both easy fixes.

  • Perfect for me.
I spent a lot of time researching welders as we use commercial welders at work and they are too far out of my price range not to mention too much for what I needed. I found that for the money this was far more welder than I expected and so far is the best you can get for half the price of the major name brands. I have been running it any time I have a chance and it is been a pleasure. I would definitely recommend this welder to anyone wanting to get into tig welding. This welder will also run 6010 which many of its smaller siblings won’t. Definitely worth the money! ... show more

  • Good Purchase
Solid TIG welder. Smooth arc. I never run it above 175 AMPS for mild steel no matter what the thickness. The foot pedal is great. This machine compares well to the Miller Dynasty 280. I splurged and got the water cooler with it.

  • Está máquina consume cantidad de energía
No dice en la descripción que consume más de 10000w en un generador y la devolución le cuesta al cliente 260 dólares por que everlas no se hace cargo de ese dinero y la atención al cliente por parte de everlast pesima

  • First unit received DOA, second seems to work, fine.
I ordered this new welder to replace a Lincoln TIG welder I bought in 2016. Its still runs but its start up amperage was too high for think aluminum and does not have the features of the Everlast. As stated in the title the first unit I received was dead on arrival. Plugged it in and No Thing! The Amazon seller was helpful and as soon as I had shlepped the 100 Lb. welder to UPS and sent the sell a shipment confirmation they shipped me a new one. I have not welded anything with it. Word to the wise. If you have to move the box by yourself, open it first. The welder does not weigh that much, its the box of accessories that puts the weight of the box over a single person's lift capabilities. ... show more

  • Nice machine
For the money, the nicest welding machine I have. Very good cleaning action on aluminum. Still learning how to use all the settings.
