There is nothing wild about this iPad, if you've used previous ones or even iPhones. It has that familiar feel. It's dependable, runs smoothly, and is intuitive to use. I've had a great experience with my 9th Generation iPad. It's large screen size make it easy to read technical articles and e-books with a lot of diagrams. It' also works great with my astronomy apps like Sky-safari Pro. Apple really made it easy to transfer and synchronize all my apps. The iPad makes using the new automated telescope like the SeeStar50, EV and Dwarf and others easier to use due to it's larger screen and longer battery life. Wifey uses Apple products and set it up for me - effortlessly and remarkably fast and then handed it to me and went back to doing what she was doing. I had a Samsung Galaxy s4 256 which died about a week ago. I think the Samsung is built better, the Samsung camera is better IMHO but you can't beat the Apple display - Both of them try to own you but the Samsung was less intrusive or I discovered ways around it. My favorite tablet was the nVidia Shield. It was simple and to me totally intuitive all features came to me naturally I had zero problems with it until the battery ballooned - and they actually repaired it for free !! but then after a time it wouldn't charge anymore and the online instructions for repair was beyond my skill set and tool set. I don't use tablets much and never learned all of the features on the Samsung - hopefully I'll get use to the Apple. 4 stars for TMI. Also the Samsung had a memory card slot too this Appel doesn't. I am not a person who buys every model of a product as soon as it comes out. I use what I buy daily (or almost) and then see how long it lasts. This iPad (Gen 9) is replacing the one I have used for over 6 years, and that one still works. However, the Gen 9 iPad is much faster, has a great screen, and it connects with keyboards and the Apple Pencil. I am very happy with this product, and I can already see that with its sturdy feel, I will be using this one for many years.
