Externally, this notebook has an integrated 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a "new Magic Keyboard" with a "redesigned scissor mechanism... including 4 arrow keys in an inverted-T arrangement" as well as a customized "Touch Bar" with a separate esc key and a separate "Touch ID" sensor, and a gigantic "Force Touch" trackpad. Additionally, it has a high-resolution LED-backlit 13.3" widescreen 2560x1600 (227 ppi, 500 nits) "Retina" display with True Tone technology, and a integrated battery that provides an Apple estimated 10 hours of runtime.

It's like driving a Rolls Royce compared to the Cheaper Laptops that I've purchased over the years. I've had three, and after awhile, they become sluggish, even after I invest in software that will clean it up. One just stopped working on me. The others, take at least 20 minutes to crank up. The sales person warned me when I purchased them that they wouldn't last, but I wanted to be cheap. And now that I have invested in an Apple, I know the brand, great reputation, and I'm sure this laptop will serve my purpose for many years to come. ... show more

There is a small dent on the side that I didn't even notice at first. Not a big deal. Overall, for an older renewed model, it works great. It does seem to get overheated a lot -- the fan goes crazy at times. I'm not sure if this is just an issue with MacBooks themselves as I've had similar problems with the one I had in the past or if it simply is an issue with older models. If anybody has any suggestions on how to remedy this, let me know. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and if I wasn't so dang broke I would've gone with a brand new model but you take what you can get. ... show more

    • The Laptop Was Beautiful-- It Just Had Mysterious Software
The laptop might be a great machine; I do not know as I could not finish setting it up as it wanted me to log into Alteryx with a Microsoft account. So I reached out to the two listed sellers for the laptop, Tech RNA and Out of Apple. I left a phone message with the latter and a text/ message through Amazon to the former. For Tech RNA the Amazon messaging program said to wait two days from when I submitted the inquiry, to wait till the 19th, for a response. After 10pm CST on the 19th I had heard nothing from either vendor so I started the refund process through Amazon.com. I received a refund for the machine, sans an approximately 5% restocking fee. This 2020 MacBook Pro works like new. It had 28 cycles on the battery, but it still holds a charge and provides superb battery life. Small scratch on the back of the laptop, but unnoticeable. No other issues. I look forward to many years of work from the MacBook.

I absolutely love this laptop! The laptop arrived 2 days after I ordered it. (I live in Chicago, IL and it was being delivered from Wisconsin.) This is the third Apple laptop I've owned and I absolutely love this. Prior to this, I had a mid-2017 12-inch Macbook and this is a Huuuuuuge step up from that one. Could not be happier. I love the Touch Bar and the image quality is amazing. I hope it keeps running this quickly and smoothly. :) I got this laptop because I am a photographer, place a LOT of RAW images on my laptop, and I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, which typically run very slowly (on bad laptops). ... show more
