I was looking for a Mac to purchase for some entry-level music creation, mixing, production, etc - but also looking for something to just have for typical portable computing things I would find pretty inconvenient on a smartphone. Never owned a Mac before, so the choice fatigue was REAL. I purchased the 512GB storage, 8GB RAM model, and so far it is perfect for what I need. I have high standards for technology and performance, being in the IT field, and this laptop knocks it out of the park. The performance for what you pay for is incredible (and that's not to say this laptop is a budget system). The M1 chip more than keeps up with my audio workflows, multiple applications open, etc. MacOS is so optimized and balanced that you would never notice this device has 8GB of RAM. Initially I returned my first refurbished M1 air and got the new M3 air because I wasn't fully aware of what it was capable of. After using the M3 air for about a week, I realized it was actually TOO overpowered for what I am looking to use it for. Returned it, and got this refurbished M1 air. Bottom line, if you need something for light-to-medium creative work with amazing battery life, build quality, and something that just keeps going and going, this is a perfect choice. On to the refurbishing quality. It's perfect. The battery must've been replaced, because it has 100% health, which is awesome to see on a refurb system. The screen is perfect as well. Not even a micro scratch. Keyboard is perfect as well. All around, the system is like brand new. It was either VERY well taken care of by the previous owner, or the components were replaced to make it resellable. Either way, it's perfect in and out. This was my first product I bought from Amazon's refurbished section. Chose the excellent option, and I am happy with my purchase. It only included the MacBook and its charger. The MacBook itself was in pretty good shape. There were some scratches on the chassis, but nothing to prominent. Battery health was at 90% maximum capacity with 78 charge cycle counts. Overall I am very happy with the quality, and now I am a lot more confident in buying refurbished products from amazon. ... show more

Despite missing its factory charger, the 8GB RAM refurb M1 MacBook Air had little or no visible wear, with a battery that reported 100% life. Based on the complete lack of keycap shine, I suspect this machine was a corporate purchase that was never actually provisioned for customer use. As refurb / pre-owned products go, this was among the best experiences I’ve had. As for the laptop, it’s a low-spec (8GB) M1 MacBook Air, which means it’s reasonably fast for general productivity use, which is precisely what it was purchased for. Horrible experience! watchout not recommended get. Have issues with this macbook air within the first few months. Attempted to go thru the right channels to correct what would be the logical way for warranty support but NOT getting anywhere. Lack of communication, no return call! not even sure if I am calling a legit business, have to communicate by way of 3rd party. When I did reach a type of support and was able to explain the issue, advised to send in for diagnosis and would be contacted with their provided resolutions for me for this purchase and on doing so on my own behalf funded I have NOT heard anything and am out shpd cost and NO macbook at this time. Now waiting for some type of compensation for this stituation. Amazon pls help! this is the worst experience ever! Buyer beware.. Update: Now Mid Dec. - Seller returned the laptop to me purchased though would not support/repair in any way. 2 different ppl at Amazon told me they processed a claim against my incident for a refund the seller would not honor but that was a Lie! No claim ever on record or processed. Once received the laptop, it came without the powercord. Need I say more?? DO NOT PURCHASE from this Seller. Ridiculous ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Definitely an upgrade from my previous Mac laptop. I waited 2 months before doing this review so here we go. The screen is large and great quality when watching movies, doing work, and using large apps. Colors on screen are vibrant and sound quality is excellent and loud. Bluetooth connects easily, no issues. Touch pad works nicely, it doesn’t lag. Charger works excellent. This computer has not overheated at all (which has been amazing when laying in my bed). Fits in my book bag and great for college. This computer charges fast.15 minutes will put me at 85% and will last me a good 2+ hours. The only downside is that the keys are a little sticky. Sometimes it would be hard typing fast because the keys are stuck or you might have to push it a couple of times for the letter to type (only happened consistently with seven keys). In some ways, I think you just have to break it in. Also the touchpad is a little stiff, it doesn’t really push down you just tap it. That was definitely an adjustment because I like to click. Overall, I definitely recommend buying! I hope this was helpful. ... show more
