Allow yourself 10-15 minutes the very first time you mount this - it was not clear to me that the width was a bit adjustable - at first I thought they would not fit on my 2014 SRX. The covers are tight to open but the clips are on the outer edges (front and back) so first unsnap one side and then pull up to open the end caps - otherwise the tips of your fingers will hurt if you just try to pull them open. No reason to pay the dealer $505 for these. Feels like they will handle 220 lbs with ease. Also what's great is that they are meant to be removed when not in use. I guess that will take about five minutes to do ( four screws and lift off ). Nice soft rubber gripping on the rails. ... show more
