They informed me that I had to use the included type c cord because it was especially made for the unit. After locating and using this cord, the unit had no problems since. Lots of pros in this tiny package. Great sound quality and bass. The quality of sound is actually not bad for a 400-500 sq ft living space. It sounds really good and can punch through a loud crowd. Best part about it is the quality of the sound and bass. It searches for the device connected, so if you want to connect to another device, that's a bit of a task to unpair first with the original device and then pair with the new device. Not easy to do it on the speaker. Battery lasts for a few days (on standby) and probably just 4-5 hrs of continuous use (80% vol). Not super portable (doesn't have a handle to pick up and take away easily), but you can carry it like your baby and it'll be fine :). That works. Really awesome in your bathroom (and it's not waterproof.. but if you enjoy music while showering, you probably will have long showers and waste a lot of water in this time of climate crisis, so please responsibly). ... show more

This speaker does have great sound with thundering base. However, there is about a half second delay from the TV audio giving it an echo effect. Apparently this is a bluetooth issue. I guess maybe this is why some reviewers here purchased two and just use them as primary. I wanted a rear speaker so that I could hear what the people are saying when watching movies. Hollywood makes the dialog at such a lower volume than the action. I am using this new speaker as a rear and just turn the TV volume all the way down. It is working well. Originally I got the GEN2 which died (beeps 2x then shuts down) thats what got me to look for replacement because GEN2 E500 was absolutely amazing and I got tooo many compliments from people. My only gripe about GEN2 model was really short Bluetooth range but it was soo good I kept it and enjoyed it for I think 3 years. When I looked to get another one I noticed GEN3 came out so I was very pleased but curious because I did not think that speaker could sound any better... well.... big dissapointment to current GEN3 model as 1. Base is not as strong as gen2 model 2. Something is wrong with the volume control as it's pretty loud at the lowest setting, much louder that normal coversation noise level. Which is huge disappointment because I actually bought 2 GEN3's to give one away as christmas gift and now both going back while I took my old gen2 apart hoping I can fix that ... show more

When it comes to wireless speakers especially Bluetooth sometimes they all sound pretty much the same and after a while you'll listen to them and find out nothing is that special about them. I own almost a dozens Bluetooth speakers but after I purchased this AMBRAMTEK E500 I was blown away with the quality of the sound I mean the detail in the midrange the highs and the thunderous bass was a beautiful thing to hear with no distortion even at loud volumes. I fell in love with this speaker so much after hearing it for less than and hour I ordered another one to pair it with and WOW trust me when I tell you this you're going to want to get a 2nd one after you hear this beast. I know $350 is not that cheap for one speaker but in all honesty this speaker sounds like it could cost $500 dollars with the technology they put in this thing after pairing the 2nd speaker It sounds like now I have a real two channel HI FI system that even a true audiophile would love and with the equalizer being something that most Bluetooth speakers don't have giving you the option to customize the sound frequencies to your taste. Please don't hesitate just buy this speaker. If you can buy two I highly recommend it but one is still good enough by all means ... show more

This Speaker is the best speaker that I've owned hands down. The bass and clarity is top notch, it could easily compete with car sound systems. I like how it has the volume and eq sliders for quick adjustments and the light at the bottom of the speaker is something else i appreciate and how theres a button to press to cut it off or back on. I had ended up having a problem with the speaker blowing out and contacted customer support and they had helped me with a replacement as guaranteed with the 12 months warranty so im pleased with how customer support is true to there word as well! All in all the speaker is definitely worth the money as the bass is a unique factor for this speaker, it doesn't just hit, you actually feel the vibration as well. ... show more

The sound quality of this thing is amazing , very clear high and excellent deep and clear bass with no distortion even at max volume , the listening experience is super relaxing, the max volume is enough to fill any room or any small party . Unfortunately had to return it because the battery discharges even with the charger connected, so , you need to turn it off for a few hours so the battery can charge, and turn it back on until the battery dies again, without disconnecting the charger. If you are planning to listening at 40 or 50% volume, you'll be ok , if you like high volume, you will have this issue. ... show more
