We love the bike! It's powerful, compact, and fun. It has a nice little info screen and a horn! (My kids got a little annoying with the honking but that's not the bike's fault. Lol) Accessories are easily mounted to the bike, making it a true commuter's dream and it is easily adjustable between someone who is 4'6" and someone 6'. We haven't figured out how to raise the bars but they are adjustable at an angle in/out so that worked well enough. Our front fork arms arrived a bit wonky, possibly damaged in transit, so I reached out for support. I'm sure my rating will go up once that is resolved as that really is our only complaint. ... show more

I rip it around my town doing 35 comfortably, off-road it’s not crazy but can rip on some gravel.

I really wanted to love this bike. Pros are that I love the step thru and the price was perfect for my first electric bike. I bought this bike in July and just got it back from being repaired. I tried to contact customer service for velec and never heard back. I ride one time about 14 miles and one of the bars already drops. I was riding and heard a noise and noticed there was a big bubble on the side of the tire. Thank God I stopped because it could have been very dangerous as I was going down hill and picking up speed. The tires on this bike are no named tires and very thin! There is no reason why it should have popped the way it did. I guess you get what you pay for. Had to spend 400.00 for 2 new tires and labor. Would never recommend this bike to anybody. ... show more

First off, it arrived on a Sunday when it was estimated to arrive between the following Tuesday and Friday. That was fast! The assembly was relatively easy, but the instructions say to attach the wheel and then the fender. It needs to be the other way around. It's nice they provide all tools you need, plus more; and they threw in the additional seat pad. I'm glad they did, because at 5'9", I needed it. I was able to do a few test laps, and I was able to achieve just over 28mph on flat asphalt. The only thing I find odd is that the brake light is tilted upwards. No big deal, just strange. I really like the kickstand - which I think I read used to be a problem. It looks like they fixed it. Note that I ordered the green one, which I think looks fantastic. Will edit this post as I put more miles on it. ... show more
