I just opened this ZOUZAI 20 pack of LED lights. Here is what I noticed while testing them: * This product is advertised as suitable for indoor/outdoor or "under eaves". I do plan on installing them outside under my front and back porch. The junction box does not appear to be waterproof, but the light element does have better sealing than other lights I have seen. There is also a soft gasket that goes around the light perimeter to seal against the ceiling. I would not pressure wash these lights directly when cleaning, but I think they will be fine under the porch. * These lights are 12W, and I would say they have average brightness when compared to my other LED lights. I measured the power with a meter at 12.1W so power use is as advertised. * I noticed the light output is uniform across the lens which looks nice. My other lights have a bright spot in the center that gets dimmer as you look towards the outside. I think these lights are using numerous smaller led devices and an effective lens to disperse the light. The lens has a white frosted appearance when not turned on. * These lights have selectable color, and I set mine to 2700K. This has a more orange/yellow color than is available with most LED lights, and I think it's nice for outdoor patio areas. If you like a warm/yellow light color, these lights are a good choice (and they also can be set for a much whiter color) * These lights do not get hot at all. After soaking for about an hour, the back of the light and junction box is just warm to the touch. There is a metal cover on the back of the light, but it does not have to dissipate much heat. The front of the light gets warmer than the back. From my testing, this type of a light with a separate wiring box operates much cooler than lights with light and power-supply in one piece. * These lights use spring loaded holding clamps at the sides and come ready to be installed into your ceiling. They do NOT require the use of a recessed can, so less space is required in the ceiling overhead. The finish and appearance of these lights is excellent. I would order these again. ... show more

Although I am not a big fan of the meager packaging, my main focus will be on the lights themselves. The control box is light but gets the job done. The lens for the light is a good diffuser and blends the LEDs well. I love the options that are allowed with 5CCT. The colors mix well with the other lights that I have.     • Good deal on a large pack of LED's

We had a house full of "can lights" (aka recessed) that were not only unattractive dust collectors but all required these huge bulbs. You can get LED's but those are a bear to store and they just don't last. On top of that, if you need to install additional lighting, it's a pain to get a can into the ceiling - impossible if you're in a spot you cant reach or that has a tight roofline. I started replacing ours with these new LED's and ran out so I wish I had seen this fantastic 20 pack earlier. I have installed well over 100 LED lights of this type and at least 8 or 9 different brands - some of those were smart, some smart and color changing, some just regular. I like these a lot. First, they all match. You may think LED's that have the same settings for color and brightness all match but they DO NOT. I found that I had to ensure each room had all of the same lights so I now have a collection of LED's with the room labeled on the box...which in some (most) cases has a single light in it. It helps to have a package with all of the same lights. I have installed some of these "dumb" LED's before that are tunable and you change the color/brightness via a little switch so a huge pro tip on these - install ONE and then figure out what color/intensity you want before installing the remainder. I also found that smart LED's do not work real well with smart light switches. Seems like that shouldn't be an issue but it is. SOME LED's will lose their memories after being off for too long and then you are back to setting them up again - which is awesome since many of them BLINK, like the lights on the Vegas strip, when they need to be set up. For these, I pulled the cans out (I do not have to pull the mounting kits or the electrical boxes, just the can itself), rewired the new light box which I then attached to the old box because it was easy not out of necessity, and then plugged in the light panel. Tested the light to be sure it worked, set the color/intensity and popped the panel into the hole. I LOVE these. They are so easy to install and the spring loaded clips are a dream. Two more tips: First, get a little insulation if your old can didn't have one, and put that on top of the LED. Blown insulation is great but makes for a fun little fiberglass shower when you remove the LED panel. A little piece of insulation cut to fit on top of the LED insulates from the heat or cold (I have sensor tested this theory and it's totally accurate). Tip number two...there's a very strong likelihood that whomever installed your original cans did so without regard to the size of the hole. I have found that it's almost accidental to get a new LED to fit the hole of an old can without some of the hole in the ceiling showing. There are these trim rings (aka "oops" rings) that you can put in place with no effort if you don't want to go through the hassle of shrinking the hole from the old can. They're inexpensive and you can buy a 20+ pack for like $20. It's a life saver. I have one room that had three can lights. I pulled all three, installed the LED's...one fit perfectly, one left enough room that I could see a dark ring around it and the third was done by someone who was either drunk or blind as I had to park the LED on part of the hole while I waited for the oops rings to show up. If you have no desire for smart home tech, these are a great choice or if you are like me and prefer to have the switches, these are a great choice. Again, smart switch OR smart LED, rarely do they work well together. These are solid units, easy to install, a 20 pack of MATCHING lights that is packaged into a very small footprint for storage and priced reasonably. So if you're living in the dark with dim lights, these bad boys are here to save you. Easy to install: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you've ever struggled to assemble a piece of IKEA furniture without losing your mind, don't worry: installing those lamps is easier than baking. The junction box is a great addition that makes the whole process go more smoothly than using a baby bottom.
