I buy these for vivariums which I make, the oldest one has been in use for a year and a half, run dry 3-4 times due to being out of town and you can't kill this pump. The only thing is they have doubled in price which is ridiculous, Amazon has seemed to jack up prices everywhere more than other retailers. ... show more

suction perfect, very quiet, good packaging, works well. a good quality product at a good price. did not electrocute my fish. it should be noted, however, that the flow rate is not the same at varying heights/level of "work" required. i could not include the actual item in my picture because the top level pump was outputting way more than the lower level was inputting at the same chosen rate and had to avert the impending catastrophe! will keep however- ... show more

    • OK they aren't that expensive
The hose that came with the pumps was kinked. Very difficult to un-kink a small hose. I adapted. Not with their parts. There is only one connector and it is designed for the small hose. The first pump I connected decided not to work. It worked when I tested it, but not after I installed it. Good thing they sent two. Second one worked fine. After getting the 2nd pump going I tried the first again and still nothing. Aggravated, i smacked it and it started working. Good, because for the price I wasn't going to try and return it as I already had pump #2 running. Let's hope they last a very long time. ... show more

I accidentally fried my old ones so I ordered two more! They work great and are super efficient and helpful when moving a fish tank, especially a big one! I do wish it came with a second tube and that the tubes were slightly longer, but that's something I can always get later on

    • Great product for pond and small fountain
These are great pumps and they are pretty durable, as well. I do regularly keep them clean and for the past several months, they have worked perfectly and far much longer that the cheaper models I had before.
