First Impressions of Pullther 2 Pcs Fishing Lanyard,Fishing Rod Straps,Kayak Paddle Leash,Paddle Board Fishing Accessories,Heavy Duty Retractable Coiled Lanyard for Fishing,Rods,Boating,Kayak. ★★★★★ I am rating this product 5-stars, Strong, tough, inexpensive, affordable, versatile, multipurpose, hig
h quality. Read on for details. What first caught my eye about this pair of lanyards was their low price. At first I thought they were probably not of very high quality considering how inexpensive they were, but the more I read, the more I liked them. Steel cable, crimped connections, plastic coated from end to end and they come with a swivel on one end so they don't tangle up on you. To top it all off, the pack includes not just the lanyards themselves but also 4 small carabiners and the 2 kayak handle straps, adding even more value to this already impressive set. After receiving the lanyards, I have to say all the manufacturer's claims are spot on. They claim they will stretch up to 79", I stretched that to 82" (+5" for about 87" total if you include the carabiners and swivel) with no ill effects to any of the parts. Construction feels very solid and I had no worries about them failing even as I was stretching them past their stated limits. The included carabiners are all metal... no plastic parts at all. The paddle straps have a nice rubberized coating, a nice box stitch securing the metal attachment points, and the hook and loop fastener holds securely. The only thing that surprised me a little when I opened the package was that the paddle straps were shorter/smaller that I expected. Re-checking the listing they are exactly what they were listed as and will certainly hold the stated paddle diameters of 0.9"-1.2". Having done more canoeing than kayaking, I think my brain just expected them to be a little bigger. If you need larger straps, there's nothing preventing you from using other straps with these lanyards or rigging your own. The included carabiners give you lots of flexibility in how and to what you can attach. I personally don't actually intend to use these for kayaking. I got them mainly as a safety tether for various applications. For example, I was recently doing some work around the house and was high up on a ladder with multiple different hand tools. On a couple occasions as I was switching tools, I was worried about dropping one of the tools I was juggling between. Next time I find myself in that situation, these will be coming with me as a safety measure to protect my tools as well as anyone below me. They truly are multipurpose. In conclusion, I highly recommend these lanyards to anyone in need of a reliable, versatile, and durable solution for securing lightweight gear. Whether that's your kayak gear and fishing equipment or hand tools, equipment keys, or whatever -- as long as it's under 50 lbs, I have no reservations about recommending these lanyards. I'm already debating if I should order another set before everyone else realizes what a great deal they are!
