So i installed these in my garage screwed right in super bright. DO NOT STARE DIRECTLY INTO THE LIGHT. However my inside door doesn't seal completely and the light kept coming on i see the light go off then all of a sudden it's on. drove me crazy whats the point of the sensor..... I thought no way can it sense me inside my house so i cracked the door and blocked the opening excepy a little at the bottom and sat watching it. I know obsessive. Half an hour goes by the light never goes on. SOMEHOW THE SENSOR WILL CATCH YOU MOVING THROUGH THE TINIEST CRACK. I AM IMPRESSED.. Thanks Guys. PS i put weather strip on the door and the light stays off. OK to update if i go near the door the light still comes on THIS THING CAN DETECT ME THROUGH THE CLOSED DOOR.. ... show more

I am currently returning these because the motion detection is awful in my opinion. I had them in my garage. My Garage is a 2 car garage about 20’x20’. My garage has 2 lights so I bought 2 - one for each socket. You can see in my photo they are less than 10’ apart. They provide adequate light however the motion detection is not good at all. I would turn the light on and walk into the garage and set a timer. They would go off about 8 seconds after you turn them on. Then they would not “see” normal human motion. We practice golf in the net you can see in my picture and swinging a club was not enough motion to keep them on. I would have to walk below each one and wave my arms to get them to come back on. Sometimes they stayed on longer if I was walking around but even that was random at best. The funny part is that I turned them on to take the picture above (to show the brightness) and by the time I opened up the camera app and snapped the pic....they had already gone off. Oh well! Amazon processed the return and it is pending until I send them back. These replaced another similar set (non motion detection) but they died in just over a year.     • Bright. Easy to install. Detects motion though doors and walls.
TLDR at bottom I have these lights (package of 2) set up in my garage. They provide a lot of light and can be focused towards darker areas. The panels do get very hot so be careful. I have my lights set to motion activated so that I don’t have to leave my garage lights on. Motion detection is... wow! Pros: • easy to install. Instructions are easy to follow. • the panels (3 in total) are bright and can be positioned to light up certain areas more than others. • motion detection is incredible. Cons: • panels get very hot so be conscious of where you place these lights (no hack jobs). Good or bad?? • sensitivity is so extreme that lights will detect you through doors and walls. The good part is that the light is on before you open the door. However the light turns on when you walk past it in a different area of the house because it’s detecting motion through a wall. TLDR: • Bright. Panels focus light where you need it. Panels get very hot. Motion detection is incredibly sensitive (goes through doors and walls). ... show more

I am not usually this critical or passionate about a product, but these lights are horrible. They are dim, motion detection is sporadic and after 2-3 months I had one of the lights fail... Completely dead! Bought a pair of the motion lights and from the start they were not great. They turned on, but that is about the only positive thing I can say about them. They are NOT very bright... If you need a light that is bright, this is not the one for you. They did illuminate with motion, but would turn off very quickly. The motion sensor only stays on for that seems like 15 seconds before it clicks off. if they are in my garage and I am working on something and not doing jumping jacks the lights shut off. Maybe I am being over critical on this, but it is frustrating to have to wave your arms every few minutes. Last, one of the lights failed on me already.......Completely DEAD........Look for the price I don't expect high quality, but these are LED lights and should not fail after a few short months... Clearly I got one that was defective, but since it was past the return window, I am stuck with a bad light. For safety, I look for a UL or ETL listing. A question that was posted in 2020 said the lights have a UL label. The two that I received today do not have a testing lab label. For something that is constantly power I am not taking a chance. They are going back. As for the motion detection, be advised it is low power microwave. It is not powerful enough to warm your biscuits, but it can cause Interferance with things near the microwave band (like your internet wifi). I did not fully test it out. I would feel better if it had a FCC compliance label, but it doesn’t. Be aware of what you are buying. ... show more

    • Good product and company
I was only going to give 3-4 stars, but they have made everything right. One of the 3 panels failed after 4 months, and they sent me replacements immediately. If they ever fail again, I'll update this review, but as of today, I'm very happy. I had a wall-mounted motion-sensor switch, but I had to get in front of it before the light came on. Having motion detection inside the light fixture is a big plus. The motion of opening the garage door turns it on. ... show more
