I ordered these to replace fluorescent lighting in my workshop. They are an excellent replacement. Quick on, no bulbs to replace or have to take to toxic waste - lower wattage and no buzz. Exact same brightness and temp - a true 5000k, which is daylight balanced. As a photographer as well as someone that likes to do workshop projects, this color temp is ideal. A higher number - ie. 6000k is too bright, and less is yellowish and not as easy to work under. I had 16 fluorescent shop lights, many of which had bulbs which needed replacement as they were getting dim. Many of these shop lights were 30-40 years old, and were heavy because they used metal and old style ballasts. Replacing bulbs was a job I dreaded because of the weight and the location (over tools and work benches). I looked at the prices for replacement bulbs and decided to check out led style lights. I replaced all my old fixtures in one day and now have much much more light in the shop.. The ability to daisy chain lights also resulted in fewer extension cords. The fixtures come with hanging chains and hooks which turned out to fit my old ceiling mounts (nails and eye hooks in joists) just fine The fixtures weigh ounces rather than pounds and I used an extra light mounted to a photo tripod (using a phone attachment) as a readily positional extra light source. The media could not be loaded. I bought these as grow lights for my seed start plants and so far they have been amazing! My plants seem to be thriving and growing so quickly and I’ve had no issues with leggyness as they put off plenty of light. They are incredibly easy to install since they are so light weight and they come with all the mounting hardware. You do have to keep them about 2-4” from the plant foliage since they aren’t as powerful as actual grow lights but the chains that that they come with make it super easy to adjust the lights as your plants grow. I thought it was interesting that they are made of light weight plastic instead of glass but it actually makes it a lot easier to move around like I said. The fact that it comes with four lights for this price and quality is amazing. I highly recommend these lights if you’re like me and want to start growing your own food but can’t spend hundreds of dollars on expensive grow lights. These do just fine! Very bright. I would be careful about using it where you have to look at it often as it makes my eyes ache to look up directly at it. Tried to take a picture but it is so bright it washes the picture out. See first pic. The second pic is the back of my hand about 8 feet from the light moving out from the end of the light on a 45 degree angle. My hand is about 2 feet above the concrete floor. Notice how brightly the light reflects off the dark gray painted concrete floor. Because of angles the floor you are seeing in the picture about 9 1/2 feet from the light and NOT directly under the light but instead off beyond one end of the light. Will probably want to see if I can add another diffuser below the light so it is more comfortable if I end up looking at the light. Since these do not come with reflector if they don't have a white ceiling above them and are mounted close to the ceiling you might want to plan on adding a reflector of some sort above the light as they spill a bunch of light up too. All 4 lights came in a box that barely would have held a single old fluorescent shop light fixture. Super light weight.(to the mildly concerning type weight feeling cheap) The box they came in is almost heavier than a light. 3 lights are superbly lighting a 40 x 16 basement. Practically daylight in every corner. If these last even 1/5 of their predicted life span they will have easily paid for themselves vs the fluorescent 4 foot shop lights. Unless durability problems crop up I am totally satisfied for the price. Used the same mounting nails the previous lights had been held by so installs were a breeze. Unhook old light. Hook up new ones' chains on the nails and plug in. left loops of cord with the switch in hanging mildly down so I can kill power to 2 of the lights some of the time since 90% of what I do is in one end of the basement and the light switches at either end turn all 3 or all 3 off at one time. So if the switches on the cords hold up that should save a bit more power over the all on version that was there previously. ... show more

Using them in my basement to replace fluorescent lights that are getting old, use much more power and the replacement bulbs are hard to get rid of and expensive to buy. These are brighter, and use much less power. They are very light weight and easy to hang with the included hardware and have outlets on the ends which makes it easy for powering the next set if your running in succession. How long they will last, Time will tell on that one. ... show more
