This product works surprisingly well. It does what it needs to do. It is convenient to have something that connects my headset and mic. The only issue is that sometimes, when it moves the wrong way, the audio gets a little messed up. This can be fixed by just rotating it slightly.

I like it was just as I imagined; it's small, easy to carry, has identification marks (mike and headphone) for each headphone jacks and has a protective cover. I also love the price. I'd buy a couple more 👍

    • Not grounded; also not compatible with stereo microphone input.
Apparently there are two standards for 4 pin combo jacks: OMPT, in which the ground connects to the sleeve, and the microphone connects to the ring next to the sleeve; and CTIA, which is reversed : the microphone connects to the sleeve, and the ground connects to the ring next to the sleeve. So I mapped the connections of this device using an ohm meter to determine which standard it adheres to. This device apparently attempts to straddle the difference, since one probably doesn’t know what standard your device uses, and as a result it does neither well. In this device, the left side of a stereo microphone jack connects to to the sleeve, and the right side to the ring next to the sleeve. So if it is connected into a CTIA jack, only the left side is passed and the right side is grounded out; and if connected to an OMPT jack, only the right side is passed, and the left is grounded out. Certainly a better solution would be to pass both the left and right sides to both the sleeve and the ring next to the sleeve, so regardless of the standard your device uses, you can enjoy a mono mix of both L & R, instead of just one or the other channel. But as a result of attempting to capture a microphone signal under either standard, this device does not ground the signal as prescribed by both standards—there is no pin left to use as the ground. So listening to a headphone through the device, the sound loses volume and clarity. ... show more

Returned product did not work with my Mac computer, no sound output nor mic input with either of the two in the set. Ended up getting a usb splitter instead. Did not try with any other devices to see if the issue was the computer or the product.

Works great... one minor issue... U shape creates torque on the input jack which over time might damage device. V shape would reduce this. But it looks cool and let’s me use headphones with a professional mic.

Received a pack of two (2) splitters. The construction is decent quality with good finish and no visible defects or weak spots. Audio output works in stereo on the "audio out" jack, and microphone input works with TRS (DOES NOT WORK WITH TRRS). No audible loss of quality.
