You are going to have to assemble it first as you may never get the bolts to line up properly if you try to do it after. I only used one from the pack and put the other one in the trash. The spikes would not go straight down, they would start to tilt each time. I dont feel any added stability either to make up for the unsightly look of them. Ive used the offset ones that you insert into concrete to shore up a fence. I wouldn’t use this to hold up a photo of a fence. ... show more
