Used one of these as a rod case for three pack rods on a wilderness canoe camping/fishing trip. Worked perfectly at the smallest extension. Could have easily used them to protect two piece rods as they extend quite long. Planning to buy more for storage for my large fishing rod collection.

    • Sturdy and adjustable.
I originally only wanted one, but after I thought about it, 2 made more sense. I use the 2nd one for my handgun targets and pay pennies for them in bulk, so I don't have to buy them at the range (for $1.00 each). They not not tightly rolled up and it keeps them safe and usable whenever!

Tubes were size as advertised. Unfortunately they did not have instructions on how to get them to expand, and I couldn't figure out how to expand them.

    • Use for ham radio vertical whip antenna
I use this container to carry pre-assembled Chameleon 17 foot collapsible whip antenna, Chameleon transformer, and matching ground spike. I attach the complete antenna system and add wiring upon deployment. I do recommend a gray side seam foam plumbing pipe insulator. These can be found at any hardware or farm supply store. These closely resemble a pool noodle, but they are pre-seamed for pipe wrapping. The entire foam tube will fit over the antenna with a slight bulge around the transformer. You cut to length and this protects the antenna system and keeps it from rattling on transport..... ... show more

    • Inexpensive and sturdy enough for storage
These are good enough for the price. Fits 24X36 movie posters easily without extending the tube, which is what I was looking for. Plastic is thick enough to prevent damage from most light weight accidents. It's not thick enough for anything really heavy. It isn't meant to stop liquid from getting inside. There are no seals or gaskets. The inside is not a smooth cylinder. It's molded, so the inside pretty much matches the outside. Just means some care has to be taken when putting items inside or taking them out. ... show more
